Efforts to improve the quality of education are currently being made by starting to add learning methods that are more applicable and able to meet stakeholder demands. The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a program to address human resource problems in health and the health service system by implementing collaborative practices among health workers. Interprofessional Education (IPE), also known as interprofessional learning, is an education concept recommended by WHO as integrated education to build collaboration between health workers. Objective: To analyze the benefits of IPE on mental health nursing education and practice. Methods: This study used a literature review method. PICO is used in selecting and determining article data to be used as material for a literature review. The data is processed using content analysis. Result: IPE is useful for mental health nursing education and practice based on scientific studies that have been conducted. Conclusion: IPE has benefits in nursing education and practice so that it can overcome problems that arise in mental health nursing.

December 2019, COVID-19 was first reported in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a worldwide pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has focused attention on the mental health of the various affected populations, medical students being one of the more vulnerable groups. Therefore, this literature review aims to find out how the mental health of Faculty of Medicine students during the COVID-19 pandemic, so that it can be used as learning material to always maintain mental health stability. The method used in this study is a literature review and literature search which was carried out by collecting several electronic journals such as PubMed, NCBI and Google Scholar. Conducted by reviewing journals related to the mental health of medical faculty students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study involved 49 library sources from 2018-2020. From 7,143 students, 0.9% of them experienced severe anxiety, 2.7% moderate, and 21.3% experienced mild anxiety. In addition, delay in academic activities is a risk factor for experiencing symptoms of anxiety. 40% of students also experience financial difficulties, in terms of e-learning platforms, this problem is a challenge for medical students because financial and social factors can be an obstacle to the development and implementation of effective online learning programs. Future research is urgently needed to provide a better explanation of the tips needed for students in adapting to the changes that occur in order to lead a mentally healthy life in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prevalensi skizofrenia di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan proporsi per 1000 penduduk (1,7%) pada tahun 2013 menjadi (7%) pada tahun 2018. Faktanya terapi keperawatan untuk halusinasi belum optimal sedangkan teknologi terus berkembang seperti Virtual Reality (VR). VR mampu menurunkan gejala pada skizofrenia dengan kemampuan membuat perilaku interaktif dan tersimpan dalam otak agar tidak menimbulkan halusinasi. Teknologi ini digunakan untuk mengetahui manfaat E-Health Nursing VR sebagai terapi halusinasi pada pasien skizofrenia. Metode penelitian menggunakan systematic review dari 5 database yaitu Nature, Frontiers, BMC, Science Direct, NEJM sehingga didapat total 55 literatur. Mayoritas 63% mengulas terapi VR untuk mengurangi halusinasi pada skizofrenia. Perkembangan manfaat VR diverifikasi dalam beberapa pengobatan: skizofrenia, PTSD, kecemasan, akrofobia, ganguan citra tubuh, claustrophobia, dan lain-lain. Beberapa studi skizofrenia menyatakan terapi VR sangat efektif menangani delusi, halusinasi, gejala kepribadian skizoid. VR juga berguna dalam rehabilitas kognitif pada orang dewasa atau anak-anak autis dalam keterampilan dan kemandirian. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah VR terbukti efektif sebagai terapi kesehatan jiwa di masa mendatang. Disisi lain terdapat terapi psikologis pilihan seperti terapi perilaku kognitif, dan psikoterapi interpersonal. Oleh karenanya diperlukan kombinasi terapi VR dengan terapi komplementer tersebut dalam mengurangi halusinasi pada skizofrenia.   Mental health become a severe problem in the world and Indonesia. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO, 2016) estimated that 21 million people have schizophrenia. The prevalence of schizophrenia in Indonesia has increased proportion per 1000 population (1,7%) in 2013 to (7%) in 2018. In fact of nursing, therapy for hallucination is not optimal while constantly evolving technology such as Virtual Reality (VR). VR can reduce symptoms in schizophrenia with the ability to create interactive behavior and stored in the brain in order to cause hallucinations. The objective of this study was to review the benefit of VR as a hallucination therapy in schizophrenia patients. This research used a systematic literature review from five databases Nature, Frontiers, BMC, Science Direct, NEJM, and resulted in the retrieval of 55 papers. The majority of a result found a 63% review in Virtual Reality therapy can reduce hallucination in schizophrenia. VR is a technology browser and manipulator sensory environment in real-time 3D. The progressing benefit of VR verified in the treatment of schizophrenia, PSTD, anxiety, acrophobia, body image disorder, claustrophobia, and others. Some studies of schizophrenia declare that virtual reality therapy is effective in treating delusions, hallucinations, and a symptom of schizoid behavior. VR also has benefits in cognitive rehabilitation in adults or children with autism's inability and self-reliance. VR has a bright future as the treatment of mental health. The progressing of technology and research has an excellent opportunity for VR to reduce schizophrenia. Moreover, there is psychological therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and interpersonal psychotherapy. Therefore a combination needed of virtual therapy with the complementary therapy for reducing hallucination in schizophrenia.

This chapter focuses on exploring decision making in the learning disability nursing field of practice. Previous chapters have covered the background about decision making, the principles, tools, and the use of evidence, as well as the way in which decision making fits in with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Standards for Pre-Registration Nursing Education (NMC 2010) and competencies. The content of these early chapters and learning will help you to build your understanding of the issues when applied particularly to learning disability nursing skills in practice. This chapter also follows those addressing decision making in mental health nursing, children and young people’s nursing, and adult nursing. This ‘separating out’ of the fields of practice is helpful to give particular clarity and focus to issues relevant within them. It is, however, equally important to remind you that these apparently clear-cut distinctions between the disciplines are not necessarily reflected in practice, and that clients and patients do not always fit neatly into these artificial ‘boxes’. People with a learning disability have a right to equal treatment from registered nurses in adult and mental health settings, and children and young people with learning disabilities should expect the same standard of care as their typically developing peers. The NMC’s The Code: Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics for Nurses and Midwives (NMC 2008: 3) reminds us that ‘You must not discriminate in any way against those in your care’ and that ‘You must treat people as individuals and respect their dignity’. So, whatever your chosen future field of practice, please read on, because when people with learning disabilities require nursing, they are—and always will be—your responsibility too. Case study 12.1 has been chosen intentionally to highlight the partnership working and decision making that can go on between adult nurse specialists and learning disability nurses. The underpinning value base of decision making in learning disability nursing today is best understood with brief reference to the past. It is in recent memory for many service users that ‘home’ was a long-stay hospital ward or villa, which, despite the best efforts of nursing staff, would invariably be managed along quite regimented lines.
