The aim of the study is to analyze the correlation between study habits and attitudes and metacognitive readingcomprehension self-awareness, reading comprehension and reading attitude of fifth-grade students. 313 students (193female, 188 male) consisted the sample group of the study using relational screening model. SSHA-Survey of StudyHabits and Attitudes, Form C”, “Metacognitive Reading Comprehension Self-Awareness Scale”, “ReadingComprehension” and, “Reading Attitudes Scale” were used. Moreover, students’ level of Turkish course success hasbeen identified by their grades from school reports of the first term of fifth grade. As the result of the study, it wasfound that the study orientation scores of the students were higher than the average and that their study attitudes werehigher than their studying habits. There was a mid-scale, positive and significant correlation between thesub-dimensions of their studying attitudes and habits. The levels of correlation between students’ success in Turkishcourse and their study orientation; between their metacognitive awareness of reading comprehension, readingcomprehension and studying habits with their studying orientation; between their metacognitive awareness of readingcomprehension, reading comprehension and reading attitude with study orientation, and between their metacognitiveawareness of reading comprehension and reading attitude with their study attitudes was found to be positive, mid-scaleand significant. However, the level of correlation between their metacognitive awareness of reading comprehensionand reading comprehension was found to be positive, low-scale and significant.

The purposes of this study are to find out the effect of REAP strategy on reading comprehension of the fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta. The research method in this study was quasi-experimental with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population was all of fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta. The sample was fifth grade students of SD Baluwarti, SD Kotagede 1, and SD Kotagede 5 Yogyakarta that were establised by cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected using tests. The validity of the instrument was measured in terms of content and construct validity. The reliability of the instrument was stated good with the score of Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,734. The data of this study were analized by independent sample t-test and Manova with Hotteling’s Trace formula. The result showed that REAP strategy gave a positive and significant effect on reading comprehension that is proved by the score of t-test = 4,914 and 3,286 with sig = 0,000 and 0,002. Based on the result, it can be concluded that REAP strategy gives positive and significant effect on reading comprehension of the fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between reading interest and students' reading comprehension ability. Research approach using quantitative with correlational study method. The subjects of this study were students of class VA and VB at SD Negeri Karya Bhakti totaling 90 students. The sample was taken by 47 students, then this study was obtained using a five-scale questionnaire for the Reading Interest and Reading Comprehension Ability variables using tests. Therefore, from the data obtained, it was found that a moderate relationship between reading interest and reading comprehension ability was seen from the accumulated calculation results, which was 30% such as using the time to read books in the library, while 70% is influenced by other factors such as students who are motivated by the teacher to increase reading interest so that students can to read a comprehension and other factors are also influenced from outside of students, namely when doing tasks, students are guided and assisted by parents. . Reading is one aspect of language skills that affects student success in understanding various learning materials. Most students are already able to read, but not all students have good reading skill. Therefore, research related to reading skill still really needs to be done to influence students so they prefer reading activities, especially when learning in schools is less effective because of the corona 19 virus. Thus, students are expected to have positive activities when they learn from home like total reading activity. This study aims to measure the total reading skill of fifth-grade students through the Reading Questioning and Answering model. The research method used an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample was the fifth-grade students who were randomly selected. This research was carried out with a home visit activity and was conducted online. The data were collected using a reading speed test and a reading comprehension test, while the data analysis used inference statistics. The results showed that the reading speed of the experimental class students was higher than the control class students. Subsequently, the reading comprehension skill of the experimental class students was higher than the control class students. Based on the research findings, the researcher concluded that the RQA Model affects the total reading skill of fifth-grade students
