Angiosarcoma is a rare malignant tumour occurring in less than 2% of soft tissue sarcomas. Angiosarcoma involving the kidney usually represents metastasis from skin or visceral primary lesions, while angiosarcoma primarily occurring in the kidney is a very rare neoplasm. We report a case of angiosarcoma of the right kidney in a 59-year-old male. The computed tomography scan showed a solid tumour with a low increased density after administration of contrast medium. Histological examination of the piece of nephrectomy confirmed the diagnosis.

AbstractA three-year old bot wiht a swelling on the right side of his neck was suspected of having parapharyngeal abscess after clinical examination and CT scan(computed tomography scan) of this region. Later it became clear, that the swelling was caused by an aneurysm of the internal carotid artery. This case report describes the pitfalls and difficulties encountered in the diagnostic course and treatment planning.

CONTEXT: Spontaneous cholecystocutaneous abscess or fistula is an extremely uncommon complication secondary to cholecystitis. Over the past 50 years fewer than 20 cases of spontaneous cholecystocutaneous fistulas have been described in the medical literature. We here report a case of subcutaneous gallstone as a rare clinical presentation of the already uncommon cholecystocutaneous fistula. CASE REPORT: An 81-year-old man presented with a large subcutaneous abscess in the right subcostal area with surrounding cellulitis and crepitus. An abdominal computed tomography scan showed two subcutaneous gallstones and communication between the abscess and the gallbladder. Cholecystectomy was performed and the abdominal wall abscess was drained externally. This case report demonstrates that maintaining a high degree of suspicion of this rare entity is helpful in achieving correct preoperative diagnosis, and that computed tomography scan should be performed in all cases of unexplained abdominal wall suppuration or cellulitis.

Abstract Gallbladder hernia through the foramen of Winslow is an uncommon condition and gallbladder hernia combined with volvulus is even rarer. A 70-year-old patient was hospitalized with the clinical signs of pain in the right hypochondriac region associated with fever. The computed tomography scan images showed some signs of gallbladder herniation through the foramen of Winslow. We decided to remove the gallbladder and found the gallbladder infundibulum twisted and necrotic. This was the first case of a male patient who suffered from gallbladder herniation with volvulus after three cases of female patients reported in the literature.

The use of ultrasonography as a first line imaging test in cases of possible costal cartilage fracture can be pivotal. In this case report, we present the case of a patient with a suspected atraumatic vomiting-induced costal cartilage fracture. The costal cartilage fracture was non-displaced and incomplete, thus not visible in a Computed Tomography scan. When Ultrasound imaging was employed at the area of tenderness, soft tissue edema and hematoma around the cartilage were visualized. High level of suspicion for a cartilage fracture in this case revealed a subtle osseous injury.

Abstract A male child born at 27 weeks, weighting 1305 g and presenting with a right-sided abdominal tumor. Computed tomography scan demonstrated the presence of a solid mass compressing the right kidney. Puncture biopsy revealed congenital mesoblastic nephroma. The patient underwent total right nephroureterectomy, and died on the second day after surgery.

Bonebridge (BB) is the first active implantation system for bone conduction that is placed fully under the skin. Experience suggests that BB is characterized by low incidence of postoperative complications. This case report presents a rare case of a 16-year-old girl with incidence of emphysema occurring over the implant 1 year after operation. We performed a computed tomography scan that showed pockets of gas above the floating mass transducer so we provided the revision surgery and sealed the artificial opening with fat from the earlobe and fibrin glue. Since that time, no air has collected in the retroauricular area and the implant has been fully functional.

Isolated gall bladder tuberculosis (GBTB) is exceedingly rare even in an endemic region and is usually found as a GB mass in association with cholelithiasis. Confirmed preoperative diagnosis is very difficult, and most cases are diagnosed after cholecystectomy. We present a case of a 45-years-old woman who came with symptoms of chronic cholecystitis. Computed tomography scan revealed intraluminal gallbladder mass and cholelithiasis. The patient underwent open cholecystectomy and GBTB was diagnosed after histopathological examination. Intussusception is the most common cause of bowel obstruction in infants four to ten months old and is commonly idiopathic or attributed to lymphoid hyperplasia. Our patient was a 7-month-old male who presented with two weeks of intermittent abdominal pain associated with crying, fist clenching and grimacing. Ultrasound demonstrated an ileocolic intussusception in the right abdomen. Symptoms resolved after contrast enemas, and he was discharged home. He re-presented similarly the next day and was found to be COVID-19 positive. Computed tomography scan demonstrated a left upper quadrant ileal-ileal intussusception. His symptoms spontaneously resolved, and he was discharged home. This suggests that COVID-19 may be a cause of intussusception in infants, and infants presenting with intussusception should be screened for this virus. Additionally, recurrence may happen days later at different intestinal locations. Caregiver education upon discharge is key to monitor for recurrence and need to return.

Urethral tumors are rare and aggressive. They usually affect men (2:1) and occur more commonly in white (85% of cases). Soft tissue sarcomas are a heterogeneous group of tumors that arise from embryonic mesoderm. It represents 1% of all cases of urinary tract malignancies and rarely primary affect the ureter. We report a case of male urethral sarcoma. To date, only two similar cases have been published in literature.
