This study aimed to evaluate teachers’ job performance based on total quality management (TQM) model. This was a descriptive survey study. The target population consisted of all primary school teachers in Karaj (N=2917). Using Cochran formula and simple random sampling, 340 participants were selected as sample. A total quality management model-based researcher made questionnaire was used for collecting the data. Its validity was confirmed by experts. The pilot study was conducted on 30 participants; using Cronbach Alpha formula, its reliability was determined to be 0.813. The data were analyzed using SPSS software in two descriptive (median, mean, mode, standard deviation, skewness) and inferential (one-sample T test) levels. The findings showed that at α= 0.05 level, the teachers’ job performance was higher than mean. At α= 0.05 level, also, the teachers’ job performance in process design, management, process improvement, public participation, and focus on customer was higher than mean.

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor–faktor berkaitan Pengurusan Kualiti Menyeluruh (PKM) di sekolah–sekolah menengah zon Bukit Mertajam. Faktor–faktor yang dikaji ialah budaya organisasi dan komitmen guru. Kajian yang berbentuk tinjauan korelasi ini merangkumi sejumlah 300 orang guru dari 19 buah sekolah menengah zon Bukit Mertajam yang telah dipilih dengan menggunakan kaedah persampelan rawak mudah. Satu set instrumen kajian yang terdiri daripada tiga bahagian iaitu PKM, budaya organisasi, dan komitmen guru dengan nilai alfa Cronbach masing–masing 0.881, 0.921, dan 0.852 telah digunakan dalam kajian ini. Secara deskriptifnya, dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan: (i) Kebanyakan responden iaitu 65.6 peratus mempunyai persepsi bahawa amalan PKM di sekolah mereka adalah pada tahap yang sederhana manakala persepsi 30.4 peratus responden berada pada tahap tinggi; (ii) Sebanyak 67.3 peratus responden mempunyai persepsi bahawa budaya organisasi mereka berada pada tahap yang sederhana positif; (iii) Kesemua responden berkomitmen sederhana dan tinggi. Di samping itu, penganalisisan data menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara budaya organisasi (r = 0.725) dan komitmen guru (r = 0.901) dengan tahap PKM pada aras signifikan 0.01. Hasil kajian daripada analisis regresi pelbagai kaedah ‘Forward’ pula menunjukkan budaya organisasi dan komitmen guru merupakan peramal yang telah berjaya menyumbang sebanyak 81.7 peratus dalam pelaksanaan PKM ini. Kata kunci: Pengurusan kualiti menyeluruh, budaya organisasi, komitmen guru The aim of this research was to study factors associated with Total Quality Management (TQM) in secondary schools Bukit Mertajam zone. Factors that were studied are organizational culture and teachers’ commitment. This descriptive correlational survey research involved a total of 300 teachers from 19 secondary schools in Bukit Mertajam zone that were selected using the simple random sampling method. A set of research instrument comprising of the three section, namely TQM, organizational culture and teachers’ commitment with Cronbach Alpha value 0.881, 0.921 and 0.852 respectively has been used in this research. In descriptive terms, the research findings showed that: (i) Most of the respondents, 65.6 percent perceived the practice of TQM in their schools was at the moderate level while 30.4 percent respondents perceived the practice of TQM was at the high level; (ii) A total of 67.3 percent respondents perceived their organizational culture as moderate positive level; (iii) All respondents were at the moderate and high commitment. In addition, the data analysis showed that there were positive and significant relationships between the organizational culture (r = 0.725) and teachers’ commitment (r = 0.901) with the level of TQM at significent level = 0.01. Findings of the “Forward” method of multiple regression showed that organizational culture and teachers’ commitment were the predictors in which have successfully contributed 81.7 percent to the practice of TQM. Organizations are operating in an environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. In such an environment an organization can attain sustained competitive advantage only through innovation. Innovation performance is the only effective yardstick that differentiates an ordinary organization from a world class one. Knowledge management is the process of creation and application of knowledge required for the attainment of organizational objectives. Total quality management stresses on continuous improvement to achieve organizational effectiveness. Despite the popularity of knowledge management, total quality management and innovation performance, empirical studies about the relationship between these variables is scant especially in Indian context. Present study attempted to find out the collective impact of knowledge management and total quality management on innovation performance in Indian IT industry. Data were collected from 219 employees working in 15 large IT organizations in Kerala by using simple random sampling technique. Results established that knowledge management and total quality management individually as well as collectively impact innovation performance. The significant influence on innovation performance is more when knowledge management and total quality management were combined. Results sensitize managers to create a differentiated management architecture that supports both knowledge management and total quality management simultaneously to foster innovation.

The main purpose of present study is to examine the effect of strategic improvisation and total quality management on performance. This study also examined the mediating effect of corporate entrepreneurship between strategic improvisation and total quality management on performance. The data was collected from the employees of SME’s through questionnaires. For collection of data simple random sampling was adopted. The response rate of study was 60.04%. the gathered data was assessed by using PLS-SEM through smart PLS-3.3.2. Its been revealed from the findings of the study that there exist positive relationship among strategic improvisation, TQM and SME Performance. Moreover, mediating role of corporate entrepreneurship is confirmed as well. The findings of present study are helpful for the policy makers of SME sector to develop strategy to improve organizational performance.

This paper is made to present a Total Quality Management (TQM) Model for Healthcare Industry for Indonesia. From previous study, there are nine Total Quality Management (TQM) practices in healthcare industry such as Top Management Commitment (TMC), Teamwork and Participation (TWP), Process Management (PM), Customer Focus and Satisfaction (CFS), Resource Management (RM), Organizational Behavior and Culture (OBC), Continuous Improvement (CI), Training and Education (TE) and Information Management (IM) . However, these practices are not integrated yet. Therefore, this paper aims to integrate these practices by applying Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). After administering about 200 questionnaires using Linear Structural Relations (LISREL) program, the p-value is at 0.45 above required 0.05 giving the meaning that the model is good fit. This signifies that these nine TQM practices are required to achieve goals of the industry

Total Quality Management (TQM) is perceived to be a very important factor for an organization's long-term success and its implementation is an important aspect of increasing operational efficiency. Previous studies of the relationship between TQM and organizational performance (OP) showed inconsistent and contradictory findings. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between TQM and OP: Empirical Evidence from Selected Airlines in Nigeria Aviation Industry. In this study, descriptive research design was utilized and stratified and simple random sampling methods have been used. A close-ended questionnaire was used as the information collection tool on a 5-Likert scale, descriptive statistics were used to analyze the profile of the study participants while Pearson's Correlation was the statistical technique used to evaluate the research hypotheses through the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 21. The results indicate that Customer Satisfaction (CS) and Employee satisfaction (ES) that serve as the dimensions of TQM have a favourable connection with OP. Therefore, to make use of these outcomes, it merely implies that organizations need to pay more attention to achieving TQM in terms of products or services by efficiently fulfilling their customers and staff need, as they serve as criteria for OP which ultimately leads to organizational diversification..Keywords: Customer satisfaction, Employee satisfaction, Total Quality Management, Organizational Performance

The application of the "Total Quality Management" model (TQM) in quality management and accreditation has been adopted by many countries in the world, but in Vietnam it is still quite new. To investigate and study the applicability and evaluation of general management and training quality management in particular according to TQM in order to propose practical suggestions to the International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), the authors have conducted a survey of 168 students (25 first-year students, 53 second-year students, 51 third-year students, 39 fourth-year students); 23 teaching and management staff. The results indicate that the current training quality management is evaluated to be average by students and quite good by teaching and management staff. All the students and staff argue that the implementation of training quality management according to TQM criteria is feasible.

The decision to implement Total Quality Management(TQM) in the construction industry should involve both the Client and Contractor. It is a complex and interactive process requires all participants to work jointly with a common objective. The participants should ensure that they are ready to change their traditional management culture and invest the required time, cost and skills for successful implementation. Primary, the Client should assess these requirement before embracing this concept. TQM is construction often starts with Client's commitment, and it is than extended to all participants of the process by requiring them to adopt the philosophy. This requires that Client to plan, organise and co-ordinate the process in a 23 "win-win" solution. The Client's Project Managers are often responsible for initiation and conduct an effective quality programme on behalf of the Client. After highlighting some important characteristtcs of TQM, this paper highlights twelve important responsibilities of the Client's Project Managers, and suggests best practices to be adopted by the Client's Project Managers when implementing TQM. These responsibilities are considered essential for the succesful implementation of TQM and include preparing and organising developing project definition; procurement; organising a joint co-ordinaltion team; design management; safety management; measuring and reviewing performance; communication; motivation; co-ordination; documentation and project postmorterm.
