This chapter introduces the concept of an Academic Management System, which is designed to enhance communication among faculty, staff, students, and administration. Using an Academic Management System, built within a Course Management System, has the potential to improve communication, reduce administrative costs, and allow 24-hour access to information. The experience of one university that integrated these technologies has had a positive effect throughout campus and, as a result, several other programs are now developing similar sites for their faculty, staff, students and administration.

This article proposes a data quality evaluation model developed on the primary basis of the ISO / IEC 25012 standard, applied to a University Academic Management System, to improve data quality. The proposed model is developed from the perspective of the data consumer and the vision of inherent data quality. The sample consisted of the data stored in the Academic Management System of the Universidad Nacional Micaela Bastidas, Apurímac, Perú, with 22 tables, 154 attributes, and 319,685 records. The model begins with data quality requirements as the main input for its evaluation and ends with an improvement plan, which is automatically implemented using data cleaning tools and SQL code. The characteristics that affect data quality problems are accuracy, consistency, compliance, and timeliness. Finally, it is concluded that it is possible to improve the quality of data by applying the proposed model, which can be used to create and generate value through the exploration, exploitation, and analysis of data for the benefit of university academic

The pandemic has shaken the entire world, and the education sector is one of the worst-hit during this ongoing crisis. This is a serious setback for students and teachers who can not access learning resources through the normal model of education. As a result, the way of education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of virtual learning as an alternative, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. Virtual learning is a method to access and share study resources, for students independently at their own pace without being hindered by other learners. There has been an increase in involvement from students and faculties on online courses, which emphasizes the importance of managing learning systems efficiently to keep up with the current scenario. This paper intends to provide an ultimate solution to enhance the educational process in an institute by integrating essential learning and management facilities in one mobile application. In this regard, we have introduced a Virtual Academic Management System that develops a learning platform for efficient course delivery and management which is helpful for students and teachers. Virtual Academic Management System provides some new features of content management while improving from the features on currently existing ones. This system uses a mobile application available on both Android and iOS for the students, which is developed using Flutter and a web application with more comprehensive features, targeted towards the teachers, which is developed using the Django framework.
