The performance of innovation could be counted by the number of patent. Patent information enables a firm to estimate R&D efficiency and stock market value. Nonetheless, patents is not universal because more than 50% companies in COMPUSTAT do not patent their new products. Since patents have some drawbacks, Cooper, Knott, and Yang (2015) use Research Quotient (RQ) as an indicator of firm innovation because RQ measures the productivity of the R&D department, which produces a new innovative product and transforms it into revenues. In this paper, we examine the impact of option trading on the relation between RQ and stock market return (or firm value). We find that RQ has the positive impact on firm value, proxy by market-to-book (MTB) value. The option dummy, which is the firm with option trading, has significantly positive impact on the relation between RQ and firm value and insignificantly positive impact on the relation between RQ and future stock return. Nonetheless, interaction term of RQ and option volume has positive and significant impacts on MTB and future stock return.

This paper proposes excess stock market return as a way to measure the impact of marketing strategy on firm value. First, it provides an overview of event study method. An event study examines the excess return to a firm's stock price after the release of information that is relevant to the firm's financial success. Second, it shows how excess return captures a marketing strategy's impact on firm value. It presents a model that illustrates how a marketing strategy impacts consumers, future cash flows, firm value, investor's expectations, and excess return. Third, a comparison shows that excess return stacks up well against standard marketing metrics. Excess return yields unbiased estimates, allows direct causal inference, is future oriented, includes all cash flows, accounts for opportunity costs, factors in risk, and takes into account the time value of money.

IT governance (ITG) provides a toolbox for companies to realize maximum value from IT. Firms implement ITG via frameworks, such as COBIT or VALIT, which list processes to align business and IT strategies, deliver IT services and comply with regulations. While there exists evidence that companies with mature ITG processes outperform their competitors and that signaling ITG maturity to external stakeholders has a positive impact on firm value, little research has focused on the relationship between IT governance maturity and disclosure of related information. This study examines the association of COBIT and VALIT maturity on IT governance disclosure. The authors posit that overall maturity in COBIT and VALIT have a positive impact on IT governance disclosure. Our results indicate that there exists a positive impact for COBIT maturity and most of its domains on disclosure, while the impact of VALIT maturity on disclosure is mostly insignificant.

Purpose This paper aims to examine the relation between CEO board membership and firm performance. Design/methodology/approach This paper investigates the relationship between firm performance and CEO board membership, applying two-stage least squares, propensity score matching and correcting for self-selection bias across a unique sample of publicly listed New Zealand firms that demonstrate a definitive variation in CEO board membership. Findings This study finds that CEO board membership has a positive impact on firm performance, and these benefits are greater for more complex firms. Research limitations/implications Firms with CEOs independent of the board are associated with lower firm performance. The results are consistent with CEO board members providing an important information transfer mechanism to the board, resulting in an increase in average firm performance. This benefit is greater for larger firms with more business segments. Originality/value The paper tests for the impact of CEO board membership using a data set that demonstrates a definitive variation in CEO board membership.

This study analyzes the impact of asset use efficiency on financial performance and the impact of financial performance on shareholders' wealth. By using a research sample of manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the purpose of this study is to test whether: 1) the efficiency of using asset has a positive impact on financial performance and 2) financial performance has a positive impact on the welfare of shareholders. The analytical method uses SEM (Structural Equation Model) –(PLS (Partial Least Square) using WarpPLS 5.0. The asset efficiency variable is measured by activity ratios and the shareholder wealth variable is measured by stock return and firm value. The analytical techniques that used are outer model and inner model analysis. The variables of asset efficiency and shareholder wealth are measured variables and the financial performance variable is latent variable. The proceeds of his study state that the activity ratio: 1) working capital turnover (WCT), receivable turnover RCT), inventory turnover (INT), total asset turnover (TAT) have a positive impact on financial performance, and 2)  cycle of cash conversion (CCC) has a negative impact on financial performance. The results of this study also states that financial performance positive impact on stock return and firm value. Thus, this study finds that the efficiency of using asset has a positive impact on financial performance, and performance of financial has a positive impact on stockholder wealth

Marketing metrics provide measures of the impact of various marketing strategies. This paper examines excess stock market return as a potential measure to include in the metric arsenal. Excess stock return reflects investors' views of the likely impact of a particular strategy. Investors form expectations about how the strategy will affect future cash flows. Consequently, a stock's price changes to reflect investor “votes” about the strategy's impact on firm value. By tapping into event study techniques for measuring the impact of an announcement, firms can better understand the value of a particular marketing strategy. An assessment of various marketing measures indicates that excess stock market return compares favorably to other metrics. Excess return yields unbiased estimates, allows direct causal inference, is future oriented, includes all cash flows, accounts for opportunity costs, factors in risk, and takes into account the time value of money.

This research aims to examine the relationship between corporate governance and the value of the company in the stock market, using a sample of non-financial companies listed on the Egyptian stock exchange for the period of four years 2015-2018. The study was conducted on companies registered in the Egyptian stock market, but after the exclusion of financial institutions because they are subject to special rules for disclosure and transparency and oversight, where a sample of non-financial companies will be selected at random. And You will get the necessary data for the applied research through the financial statements and reports of the Board of Directors and reports to the audit committees of listed companies in the Egyptian stock market during the period from 2015 and 2018, and the researcher will depend on the method of regression analysis to test the research hypotheses. The research problem stems from the need to answer the following questions: 1. Does corporate governance affect the level of the company’s performance? 2. Does the performance of the company’s affect value in the stock market? 3. Does corporate governance affect the value of the company in the stock market? The research is aimed at theoretical apartment: to identify the general framework for corporate governance in the light of the latest standards and studies and analyze the most important studies that have looked at the relationship between corporate governance and performance level of the company, as well as studies that looked at the relationship between corporate governance and the company’s value in the stock market in order to benefit from the findings of previous studies in this regard. The paper presents the results of an empirical analysis, studies the impact of corporate governance on the value of the company in the Egyptian stock market, which showed that there is a positive relationship, but not significant between the corporate governance index and the ratio of market value to book value per share, and the results indicate that there is a positive relationship, but not significant between the corporate governance index and the percentage of Tobin’s Q. The results of the research can be useful through its response to the theme, which is a vital and important as it tests the relationship between corporate governance mechanisms and the performance of the company and its value in the stock market with the application in the Egyptian environment. This study empirically investigates the less discussed catalytic effect of personality in the relationship of leadership style and employee thriving at work. The growth and sustainability of the organization is linked with the association of leadership style and employee thriving at the worplace. The objectives of this study are to explore the impact of authoritative and laissez-faire leadership styles and the moderating role of the personality trait of conscientiousness on thriving in the workplace. A sample of 312 participants was taken from a leading school system with its branches in Lahore and Islamabad, Pakistan. The participants either worked as managers, teachers in headquarters, or school campuses, respectively. The regression results of the study show that authoritative leadership and conscientiousness have a significantly positive impact on thriving at work. Furthermore, conscientiousness moderates the relationship between laissez-faire style of leadership and thriving at work relationship. The findings of this study have theoretical implications for authoritative and laissez-faire leadership, employee conscientiousness, and managerial applications for the practitioners.

With the rapid development of information technology, information security has been gaining attention. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has issued international standards and technical reports related to information security, which are gradually being adopted by enterprises. This study analyzes the relationship between information security certification (ISO 27001) and corporate financial performance using data from Chinese publicly listed companies. The study focusses on the impact of corporate decisions such as whether to obtain certification, how long to hold certification, and whether to publicize information regarding certification. The results show that there is a positive correlation between ISO 27001 and financial performance. Moreover, the positive impact of ISO 27001 on financial performance gradually increases with time. In addition, choosing not to publicize ISO 27001 certification can negatively affect enterprise performance.

This study examined the impact of E-CRM on customer loyalty with the mediating effect of customer satisfaction in the banking industry. Customer satisfaction is important for loyalty because when the customers are satisfied with the services offered by their service providers, the relationship gets stronger which further leads to positive word-of-mouth. The data was collected using purposive sampling from 836 banks’ customers who were using E-CRM services and the data was analyzed using structural equation model (SEM) through AMOS. The results revealed that E-CRM and customer satisfaction had a significant positive impact on customer loyalty and also customer satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between E-CRM and customer loyalty. This study would offer useful acumen to both academicians and marketers and would help the bank managers to improve the quality of the services provided to their customers.
