The COVID-19 pandemic situation has hampered wound care services. Apart from contact restrictions, patient and family anxiety to visit hospitals and health workers having diabetic wound care skills are still inadequate. Only 1 unit of First Level Health Facility (FKTP) has succeeded in developing a diabetic wound care polyclinic; thus, the percentage of diabetic wound sufferers who receive standard services is only 1 percent. This study aims to determine predictors of graduate performance after wound care training with blended learning methods in Jakarta Province in 2021. Descriptive quantitative method using a cross-sectional approach and primary data were collected using structured questionnaire survey technique. The study was carried out from August to September 2021. The population was all 44 graduates of wound care training with the blended learning method. The result shows that the correlation value (r) between age and performance score was 0.43 with a P-value of 0.007. It means that there is a statistically significant relationship between age and the graduate performance score. There is also a significant relationship between motivation and performance scores, with the correlation value (r) between motivation scores and performance scores of 0.37, P-value of 0.020. The dominant factor that affects graduate performance is motivation, with a P-value of 0.02. The magnitude of the variation that affects the dependent variable is 0.129, meaning that the motivation variable can explain 12-13 percent of the variation in the graduate performance score.

A hydrocellular functional material as a wound dressing is developed and it is found to be superior in its efficacy as compared to some of the comparator controls in diabetic wound healing studies. A study on wound contraction and Histopathological analysis is done in rats. The efficacy of the dressing is comparable to the established wound dressings like Carboxymethyl cellulose alginate dressings and autolytic enzyme based hydrogel. It is found to be superior to Polyhexamethylene biguanide dressing used as reference controls in this study. The reason for good wound healing performance of the dressing can be attributed to a combined property of effective exudates management and broad spectrum antimicrobial effect. The concept of functional hydro cellular material has shown good results due to the excellent balance of exudates pickup and drying it out. This ensures moist wound healing conditions on the wound. Because of its porous nature it allows good air flow and gaseous exchange in the structure. The cationic sites created on the surface of the dressing ensure a good antimicrobial action on the exudates in the dressing. It reduces the infection load on the wound. The nonleaching property of the dressing also helps in preventing the generation of more resistant and mutant strains of the microbes. The developed dressing can be used as a relatively durable long lasting dressing for wound management in diabetic wounds. The need of repetitive wound dressing changes can be brought down with this concept of dressing. It is not only cost effective in terms of its material cost but also is a cost effective solution when entire wound management cost is considered. Such novel wound dressing material can change the quality of life of diabetic wound patients especially in developing world, where access to functional advanced wound care dressings is limited.

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic disease which facilitates diabetic wound foot. To prevent long diabetic wound complication and worse condition it is needed wound care for diabetic patient. Modern bandage has been used for recent wound care technique. The principles of modern wound care product are maintaining and watching over the humid environment of the wound to facilitate the wound healing process, maintaining liquid tissue deprivation and cell decease. This research was aimed to find out how modern wound bandage is applied to the diabetic patient and to find out the influence in healing wound phase. This research is qualitative research using phenomenology approach, 4 wound diabetic patients who were hospitalized for 2 weeks using modern wound care method in Magelang regency were participated. The participants were elected using purposive sampling method. Observation and interview were used to obtain data, data was analyzed using explanation building method. The results of this research have 4 topics which are wound examination, type of modern bandage, the way of wound care, and the influence toward the wound. Bates-Jensen Wound was used for the wound examination, the type of bandage used were hydrogel and wound ointment, TIME management approach was used in wound care, and the wound care influences the decreasing of wound size, wound proliferation and granulation. Modern bandage application of diabetic wound influences the decreasing of wound size, wound proliferation and granulation. Paramedic is suggested to use modern wound care method in diabetic wound management.

Introduction. Wound cleansing for diabetic wound care always used 0.9% of NaCl or other commercial solutions. Currently, the use of guavas leaves extract (Psidium guajava L) as an alternative wound cleansing solution has been started to be introduced as a part of complementary nursing. The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of commercially wound cleansing solution of 0.9% NaCl and guavas leaves extract in wound healing process of diabetes mellitus patients. Methods. This study used six respondents as a sample, by using quasi experiment methods of 4 times wound cleansing.  In this experiment, the control group used NaCl 0.9% while a group of sample used guavas leaves extract as wound cleansing solutions. Result. The experimental result revealed that there was a significant result between types of wound cleansing solution effectiveness in NaCl 0.9% with an extract guavas leaves for some wound characteristics (Presentation of wound slough P value: 0.043; presentation of wound granulation Pvalue: 0.037 (α=0.05)). However, There were no significant result of effectiveness comparison between wound cleansing solution (NaCl 0.9% and Guavas Leaves Extract) for wound dimension and epithelial tissue characteristics (Wound wide Pvalue:0.184; wound long Pvalue: 0.361; epithelial tissue presentation Pvalue:0.072 (α=0.05). Discussion. These results confirmed that guava leaves extract can serve as an alternative wound cleansing solution as commercial wound cleansing solution such as 0.9% NaCl. : Chronic wound healing remains a complicated issue in the world's scientific health society. Alterations in the human body conditions such as biochemical, immunological, and physiological states may lead to non-healing wounds, making the treatment an insurmountably long and expensive procedure. Diabetes mellitus disposes the body to many complicated conditions while preventing diabetic wounds away from the normal wound-healing process. As topical administration is a favorable route of treating wounds, here, in this article, different topical materials and their roles are briefly reviewed.

Diabetic injury is one form of chronic complications. Diabetes mellitus is an open wound on the skin surface that can be accompanied by local tissue death. Diabetes mellitus patients at risk of 29 times the occurrence of diabetic injuries. Diabetic injury is an open wound on the skin surface caused by the presence of macroangiopathy resulting in vascular insusifiensi and neuropati. Organs most often affected by diabetes mellitus complications include the leg blood vessels. Disorders of blood vessels that often occur in diabetes that is on the legs and feet. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of wound care using modern bandage (Metcofazin) on diabetic wound healing process at Emergency Hospital (IGD) Arifin Nu'mang Hospital of Sidrap Regency, and to know the effectiveness of wound care using conventional dressing (normal saline saline NaCl 0 , 9% and gauze bandage) to diabetic wound healing process at Emergency Injury Installation (IGD) Arifin Nu'mang Hospital of Sidrap Regency. The type of research used by the researcher is qualitative research with case study approach. This research has been conducted on 21 November until December 21, 2014 at the Emergency Installation (IGD) Arifin Nu'mang Hospital, Sidrap Regency. Samples used in this study are patients with diabetic injuries at Arifin Nu'mang Hospital Sidrap District with sampling technique by puposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that the treatment of luk a using a modern bandage (metcofazine) is more effective than wound care using conventional dressing (normal saline 0.9% NaCl saline and gauze dressing) on ​​diabetic wound healing process at Arifin Nu'mang Hospital Sidrap Hospital.
