This work presents several aspects concerning the e-learning courses about composite materials developed for capacity building in the field of advanced materials for new or upgraded research centers in Morocco and Jordan. The proposed course for capacity building in the field of advanced materials development is represented by 3D advanced composites obtained through textile technologies and additive manufacturing processes. This course presented using e-learning technologies received increased interest from students attending the learning sessions in the framework of the Fostex Erasmus+ project because can be applied to obtain composites for a large area of industries such as automotive, construction, medicine, electronics/electrotechnical and aerospace. The textile composites are materials made from 2/more constituent materials with different chemical, physical and electrical properties. When combined, these materials generate a material (composite) with different characteristics than the initial individual components. The design and development of the composite can lead to new materials with superior characteristics: more robust, lighter, flexible, and less expensive in comparison with traditional materials such as metal, ceramics.

We report on five years of capacity building designed to improve the skills of producers and users of international trade statistics all over the world, with a particular focus on developing countries. This training programme is a joint activity between UNCTAD, UNSD and WTO, based on an innovative (Blended Learning) approach, combining e-learning and face-to-face workshops. It is adapted to local needs, uses the pool of experts working at international organisations, and ensures continuous review and enhancement of the applied methods and tools. The results reviewed in this paper confirm that the program has reached the target population. Furthermore, it has global coverage and is gender-balanced. During the five years since the programme has begun, participation in the courses has increased considerably; success rates have risen from 72% to 79% and satisfaction rates from 77% to 88%. Plans for the future include delivering training in additional languages, increasing interactivity, and adding new components addressing specific training needs.

The study, based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT), investigates the determinants of e-learning acceptance. We create a cross-level variable of the incentive and social influence to explore with the other variable context effect and the interaction effects in the acceptance of e-learning. Data collected from 932 respondents in Taiwan were tested against the research model using the hierarchical linear model approach. This model improved Yu, Liao, Wen’s research to detailed intended the learning environment. The results showed that individual-level variables (performance expectations, effort expectancy, perceived behavioral control), and group-level variables (incentive, social influence) have a positive effect on behavioral intention. The incentive has an effect on behavioral intention through the moderating role of manager influence.

Knowledge technologies are a subject of permanent interest for software engineers at research organisations, as well as for market analysts in commercial organisations. In this paper, which aims to clarify the role of knowledge management solutions in an enterprise business, we survey the market of commercial knowledge management solutions and analyse their functionalities in domains such as document management, information retrieval, collaboration, decision support, e-learning, business automation and enterprise integration. The survey is based on a thorough study of web resources of knowledge management solution providers. Regarding the role of knowledge solutions in the business process, the present study will show that on an operational level they serve for better utilisation of the enterprise knowledge resources and, on a strategic level, they synthesise new knowledge needed for better management of customers, suppliers and partners. This paper gives an insight into the knowledge management market that can help strategic planners to easily begin a knowledge management initiative.
