A moda sustentável tem sido um dos temas mais amplamente discutidos tanto no meio acadêmico quanto profissional. O desgaste dos recursos naturais e uso de mão de obra precária promovidos pela indústria da moda demandam soluções urgentes de melhorias para o setor. Além de diversos conceitos, modelos de negócio têm surgido para integrar a sustentabilidade, no entanto, emerge um questionamento: de que forma a sustentabilidade está sendo incorporada nos modelos de negócios presentes na moda sustentável? Por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica, buscou-se trazer os principais conceitos de moda sustentável e os modelos de negócios existentes na área, sendo estes: slow fashion, moda ética, eco-fashion, fair trade, zero-waste, economia circular, upcycling, reciclagem e economia compartilhada/consumo colaborativo. A partir dessa compreensão, fez-se uso dos oito arquétipos de negócios sustentáveis propostos por Bocken, et al. (2014) a fim de verificar quais deles são aplicáveis à indústria da moda.

Due to the fashion industry’s global reach, spanning many jurisdictions, regulations are difficult to implement, monitor and enforce. Strict voluntary initiatives that focus on raising consumer awareness, thereby creating greater demand for eco fashion have greater potential to lead to reform within the fashion industry. To do so, voluntary initiatives must include clear labeling of ‘eco’ products and designer input, and include strict guidelines for company and designer standards. Standards must take the entire life cycle of a garment into consideration. Fashion can apply lesson from the fair trade coffee industry by appealing to consumers based on ethics and environmental responsibility through a trusted consumerfacing label. Fair trade was successful, in part, due to their recognizable label. Fair trade type certifications are most often business to consumer facing and provide consumers with the environmental and social information on the benefits of purchasing fair trade. Fair trade certification models have capitalized on large retailer involvement, allowing certifications to become mainstreamed and therefore more accessible for consumers.

The purpose of this study was to develop the design of multifunctional children’s clothing that supports sustainability goals. This paper proposes multifunctional clothing that can be recycled and decomposed at the end of the clothing’s lifespan. In particular, the Eco-fashion design model was adopted in this project. After analyzing fashion consumption and problems in children’s product design, four items of multifunctional children’s clothing were developed. Multifunctional children’s clothing design focuses on material selection, zero-waste techniques, design for disassembly and children’s health. Thus, the minimization of material diversity as well as the application of zero-waste design techniques and multifunctional design guidelines for children’s clothing design can be implemented towards sustainability in order to preserve the environment by selecting recyclable materials, promoting profit and human health concerning multifunctional purposes and international standards for children’s clothing design. The findings can be used in various apparel products to help mitigate problems related to environmental pollution and resource depletion in the apparel industry.

У зв’язку з техногенним забрудненням, що набуло катастрофічних масштабів, актуалізувалась ідея органічного включення створених людиною продуктів в оточуюче середовище. Цю тенденцію в виробництві одягу найчастіше називають «екомодою». Наведено огляд публікацій, у яких досліджено поняття «екодизайн» в різних галузях. Уточнено визначення «екомода», виявлено різницю в поняттях «стала мода», «повільна мода», «етична мода». Зазначено, що урахування еко-фактору в процесі проектування повинен охоплювати весь цикл створення та функціонування виробу. Здійснена спроба систематизувати та класифікувати направлення, за якими розвивається «екодизайн» в модній індустрії в залежності від груп вимог: екологізація виробництва, екологізація матеріалів, екологізація реалізації, екологізація споживання. Розглянуті відомі бренди, що працюють в даних напрямах, описані їх методи, прийоми та досягнення.Ключові слова: екомода, екодизайн, сталий дизайн, екологічний одяг, екологічна мода, fashion-індустрія. In connection with environment pollution, which has become catastrophic, the idea of the organic inclusion of human-created products into the environment has become relevant. This tendency in clothing production is often called «eco-fashion». In this article the review of publications in which was studied the concept of «eco-design» in various industries. Also there is specified concept of «eco-fashion», the differences in the concepts of «sustainable fashion», «slow fashion», and «ethical fashion» are defined as well as noted that to ensure the eco-component, the design process must cover all cycle of creation and functioning of the product. There is made an attempt to systematize and classify the directions in which the «eco-design» in fashion industry is evolving depending on the groups of requirements: greening production, greening materials, greening realization, greening consumption. There are considered famous brands that work in these areas and described methods, techniques and achievements. Key words: eco-fashion, eco-design, sustainable fashion, ecological clothing, eco-friendly fashion, fashion industry.

Currently, the Ecuadorian footwear industry faces competitiveness problems with products that enter the country with advantages in terms of quality, design, and price, factors that have captured the preference of local consumers. The purpose of this work is to highlight the value of design in the footwear industry in Ecuador, contributing with a proposal focused on ethnic fashion, using typical and traditional Ecuadorian elements and forms as a strategy of differentiation in the generation of products with identity, which allow competitiveness within the national market and subsequently international. For this purpose, Etnika was born, a brand of traditional Ecuadorian women's casual footwear, that proposes the application of a business model focused on “slow fashion” based on a specific market study, which has shown preference in aspects that involve factors such as new materials, design ethics, eco-friendly manufacturing processes, fair trade, quality, and added value.

Fashion industry has become globalized, with the emergence of so called fast fashion (fast overproduction and fast consumption). This ongoing fast fashion trend has profound negative impact on the environment (water and land pollution, lack of recycling, etc.). The other serious issue connected to the fashion industry are labour conditions (forced and child labour). However, the new trends are emerging such are sustainable fashion, slow fashion, eco fashion, and ethical fashion that are trying to start solving those problems. In this paper faculty, administration, and students' perception on eco fashion is surveyed on the example of the School of Engineering Management, Belgrade, Serbia. The statistical ANOVA analysis has been implemented by using software SPSS18 package to explore the perceptions of various higher education stakeholders of eco fashion. The results show that there is no statistically significant difference in the perceptions of different groups of eco fashion. The final part of the paper presents opinions on the most important elements of eco fashion for the consumers' purchasing decisions collected through the interviews.
