This paper aims to expand the acceptance of the AI Virtual Assistant model from the perspective of user’s cognition. Based on the 240 samples, we used multi-layer regression analysis to investigate the influencing factors and differential effects of users' acceptance of AI Virtual Assistant. The results show that functional cognition and emotional cognition of users are important influencing factors for an artificial intelligence virtual assistant. This provides a new perspective for user acceptance processes of the AI Virtual Assistant. We also examined the moderating effect of social norms between user cognition and AI Virtual Assistant. At last, a new AI acceptance model of AI Virtual Assistant was established.

Abstract Transgenerational plasticity allows offsprings to be more adaptive in the environmental conditions experienced by their parents. It is suggested that differential effects of transgenerational plasticity on growth performance of offspring ramets may help to understand successful invasion of invasive plant with clonal growth comparing with its congeneric native one. A pot experiment using invasive herb Wedelia trilobata and its congeneric native species Wedelia chinensis was conducted to investigate differential effects of high/low light treatment experienced by mother ramets on morphological and photosynthetic properties of offspring ramets subjected to stressful low light treatment. For W. chinensis, stolon length and maximum carboxylation rate (Vmax) in offspring ramets from mother ramets subjected to low light treatment were significantly greater than those in offspring ramets from mother ramets subjected to high light treatment. For W. trilobata, leaf area and potential maximum net photosynthetic rate (Pmax) in offspring ramets from mother ramets subjected to low light treatment were significantly greater than those in offspring ramets from mother ramets subjected to high light treatment. We tentatively concluded that effects of transgenerational plasticity on morphological and photosynthetic properties among clonal plants could be species-specific. In addition, more favorable effect of transgenerational plasticity on growth performance was observed in the invasive plant than in its congeneric native species. It is suggested that transgenerational plasticity may be very important for successful invasion of invasive plant with clonal growth, especially in maternal environmental conditions. So, our experiment provides new insight into invasive mechanism of invasive plants.

This study evaluated the influence of temperature and relative humidity (RH) on the insecticidal effect of diatomaceous earth (DE) at two concentrations, 500 and 1000 ppm, on wheat, for the control of Cryptolestes ferrugineus (Stephens) (Coleoptera: Cucujidae), Oryzaephilus surinamensis (L.) (Coleoptera: Silvanidae), and Tribolium confusum Jacquelin du Val (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae). These bioassays were carried out in all combinations of four temperature levels (15, 20, 25, and 30 °C), and two relative humidity levels (55 and 75%). Cryptolestes ferrugineus and O. surinamensis were found to be much more susceptible to the DE-treated wheat than T. confusum, but the increase of the DE dose increased the mortality level for all three species. Although the increase of temperature and the decrease of RH increased insect mortality in some of the combinations tested, the reverse was observed in some treatments, suggesting that there are considerable differential effects of these factors in DE efficacy. The increase of insect exposure from 1 to 21 days notably increased insect mortality, suggesting that exposure is a critical factor that may alleviate possible differential effects of certain abiotic conditions. The results of the present work provide data that illustrate the viability of the utilization of DE in stored product protection, as alternatives to chemical control methods.
