This study was an attempt to develop and validate the proposed Collegial Peer Coaching Model (CPCM) for Science Teachers across various levels at Southern Luzon State University, Lucban, Quezon. The research design is a combination of descriptive-qualitative and developmental research methods involving 18 science teachers in the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Three instruments were developed for the study—a teacher performance scale, a primer on peer coaching and an evaluation questionnaire. Results suggest that the participants had highly favorable performance ratings in the conduct of the three instructional components of the CPCM, as most participants achieved either ‘very satisfactory’ or ‘outstanding’ ratings after the conduct of the model, in comparison to their pre-CPCM ratings. The predominantly identified criteria for classroom observation are discussed as well as the quantity increases obtained by science teachers by group level along the three instructional components. The acceptability ratings also indicate very favorable scores. Among the conclusions made, it seems that the science teachers’ teaching science performance require more skills improvement and/or refinement in the component identified as the “management of the teaching-learning activities” than in “classroom management skills” and “personal qualities.” Keywords - Peer Coaching, Science Teacher Empowerment

Anxieties that are experienced by the teachers are also undergone by the pre-service teachers. The pre-service teachers feel anxious when they teach students or their peers in a real classroom. This study aimed at investigating English pre-service teachers perceptions of anxiety in peer teaching. To achieve the objective, a questionnaire and open-ended questions were administered to gauge the perceptions of 44 pre-service teachers of the English Education Department, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Universitas Kristen Indonesia. Findings revealed that the majority of the preservice English teachers felt anxious about their first peer teaching practice. It was shown that pre-service teachers were unconfident; worried about their English language skills, teaching skills, evaluation skills, and classroom management; and were not sure of the preparations they had made. The top factor causing their anxiety was their classroom management skills. This means that they put the greatest concern on the way they would manage the class. Nevertheless, by knowing the causes of the anxiety, they got the opportunities to reduce it in the next teaching.

Effective and efficient time management is an area of management that is of great importance for teachers in the education process. In this respect, it can be said that teacher candidates should have sufficient skills in effective and efficient time management. In particular, this competence should be managed effectively and efficiently by science teachers, although it is important to emphasize itself in the context of the science course. The aim of this study is to determine the time management skills of science teacher candidates and to determine the change in skill levels according to the level of class. In line with this aim, a total of 135 science teacher candidates who have been studying at a State University in Istanbul in 2018-2019 academic year were selected through objective sampling. The data obtained by using Time Management scale as the data collection tool were analyzed by SPSS statistical program. The mean, standard deviation and one-way variance analyses were used in the analysis of the data and the results were evaluated. It was determined that there was no significant difference between time management skills and classroom level of science teacher candidates and time management skills were “high”.
