Background:  Malnutrition is well-known to yield high morbidities and mortalities and considering its consequence on the oral cavity, malnutrition is shown to have pre-eruptive and post-eruptive outcomes. The objective was to assess the prevalence of hypo-mineralized second primary molar (HSPM), molar–incisor hypo-mineralization (MIH) and dental caries in malnourished children as well as addressing the relation between types of malnutrition of the children and their dental morbidities represented in HSPM, MIH and dental caries. Methods: This is a cross sectional analytical study. Malnourished children aged 5-10 years and presented to the Outpatient Clinic of Pediatric Dentistry Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University were examined for HSPM. MIH using European Academy of Pediatric Dentistry criteria and dental Caries using def/ DMF indices. Results:  A consecutive sample (a long six months) of 54 malnourished children were enrolled in the study. Dental caries was a greater dental morbidity in the overweight and obese group. Besides, stunting was a greater risk in HSPM and MIH. There was an association between HSPM and MIH in a considerable percentage of the study group. Conclusions: Malnutrition is a risk factor for dental abnormalities. HSPM could expect the presence of MIH.

Education for the younger generation is very important in increasing knowledge, creating creativity, and developing self-potential. Therefore, the Mahkota Kasih Insani Learning House in addition to funding student's schools also collaborates with external parties to provide initial knowledge for students from the foster children of the MahkotaKasih Insani Learning House before facing learning activities at school. The collaboration is carried out by inviting lecturers and students of the Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Business, UniversitasTarumanagara, Jakarta to share knowledge in the field of accounting in community service activities. The purpose of this activity is to provide training on the introduction of the basics of accounting for students of the Mahkota Kasih Insani Learning House. The activity will be carried out on Saturday, July 3, 2021, offline with strict health protocols. This activity uses training methods regarding the introduction of accounting basics, accounting structures, basic accounting equations, and financial reports, as well as practice exercises about accounting basics. Based on the results of the activity evaluation, it can be concluded that community service activities run smoothly and give a good general impression for students because students can better recognize and understand the basics of accounting that are useful in dealing with learning activities in schools in the field of accounting.Pendidikan bagi generasi muda sangat penting dalam menambah pengetahuan, menciptakan kreativitas, dan mengembangkan potensi diri. The coral reef ecosystem is one of the marine tourism attractions on Lemukutan Island, West Kalimantan. However, currently, some locations are in a relatively degraded condition, which should be addressed. One solution to this problem is coral transplantation activities involving tour guides. As part of the effort to rehabilitate the coral reef habitats, the Aquatic Resource Management Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Nahdlatul Ulama University, West Kalimantan, conducted community development activities to increase the capacity and knowledge of tour guides regarding coral reef ecosystems and coral transplantation techniques. This training was attended by fifteen tour guides from the Lemukutan Guide Group and ARTUNA (Anak Remaja Teluk Cina) Group. The participants were previously trained under PT Pertamina (Persero) and Yayasan Jejak Pesisir Nusantara. This training was carried out in three stages: (i) materials presentation and discussions, (ii) direct practice on the field, and (iii) evaluation. The post-test results showed that the training had increased participants' understanding of coral reef ecosystems and coral transplantation techniques by 40,00% and 33,33%, respectively.

BACKGROUND: IMP3 is an RNA binding protein, which is strongly expressed in malignant tumors, promoting tumor cell proliferation. AIM: The aim of the study was to evaluate the expression of IMP3 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and to correlate the expression of IMP3 with available clinicopathological data. METHODS: Sixty one total laryngectomy and laryngoscopic biopsies; collected from the Pathology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. Two slides were prepared from each paraffin embedded tumor block, one slide for Hematoxylin and Eosin staining, and the other for immunohistochemical staining by IMP3 polyclonal antibody. RESULTS: Thirty-seven cases (60.7%) showed positive IMP3 expression, and a statistically significant correlation was found between IMP3 expressions in normal, dysplastic epithelium/in situ component, and the invasive malignant tumor tissue. Correlations between IMP3 expression and other available clinicopathological data were all non-significant. CONCLUSION: This study suggests that IMP3 might play a role in laryngeal SCC carcinogenesis and progression process from normal to dysplastic to malignant epithelium, and thus IMP3 might be targeted by gene therapy.

This study attempts to describe the ability of the English Department students, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University in pronouncing English final consonant clusters. Consonant clusters are groups of consonants that can occur initia lly (onset) and finally (coda) in the syllable structure. The features of consonant clusters in each language are highly dependent on the language itself. In English, the number of consonants at the beginning of a syllable can be up to three such as: structure /strʌktʃə/, spring /sprIŋ/, while the number of consonants that forms a cluster in the coda can be up to four as in sixths /siksθs/, texts /teksθs/. While, Consonant clusters in Indonesian and Balinese as the mother tongue of students are very limited in number and only exist initially in the words. This difference, obviously, creates problems for students in pronouncing English words containing these consonant clusters The knowledge of the English sound system is taught in the English phonetic and phonemic course in the fifth semester at the English Department, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University. This study examined the ability to pronounce consonant clusters by the second semester students who have not taken English Phonetic and Phonemic courses to be compared with student s who have taken the course, so that it can be seen to what extent the course can change students’ performance in pronouncing the consonant clusters. This research is descriptive qualitative research, supported by quantitative data. The research population was 20 second semester students and 20 sixth semester students randomly taken. The research instrument was a list of English words containing consonant clusters and questionnaires. The data collection technique was done through recording, and the data were analyzed descriptive qualitatively and presented formally and informally.

Background: Anastomotic leakage (AL) considered as the most feared complication after colorectal resection surgery increasing morbidity, mortality and risk of recurrence among these patients. Therefore, early detection of AL is crucial. Biomarkers as procalcitonin (PCT), C-reactive protein (CRP), white blood cell count (WCC) provide an easy, safe and efficient methods for early detection of AL and follow up of the patients after discharge. Methods: This study included 130 patients presented with colonic or rectal cancer in the period from January 2018 to January 2021. This study was conducted in general surgery department, faculty of medicine, Benha university hospital. CRP, PCT and WBC count were measured pre-operatively, first, third, fifth and 7th day post-operative to detect the change in their levels when AL was diagnosed either by clinical, radiological or operative measures. Results: Among 130 patients, only 10 patients had AL. On POD-3, CRP and WCC values were significantly increased in AL patients while PCT was significantly elevated only from POD-5. The best cut-off value for CRP on POD-3 was >30.1 mg/l, reaching 90% sensitivity and 100% specificity for detecting AL while for WCC was >7.1× 109 cell/l, with 90% sensitivity and 72% specificity. The best cut-off value for PCT was in POD-5 which was >1.7 ng/ml with 100% sensitivity and 84% specificity. Conclusions: The analysis of CRP and WCC on POD-3 together with PCT serum concentrations on POD-5 is crucial for early detection of anastomotic leakage in either open or laparoscopic colorectal resection surgery.
