Penelitian ini bertitik tolak adanya kesenjangan antara harapan pembelajaran dan hasil belajar fisika SMP, oleh sebab itu perlu diupayakan peningkatan mutu proses belajar mengajar melalui pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan hakikat IPA dan standar kompetensi lulusan SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kevalidan dan kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu berbasis software adobe flash CS6 pada materi energi dan makanan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif evaluatif yang menghasilkan media pembelajaran IPA terpadu yang valid dan praktis untuk siswa SMP. Media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan divalidasi oleh 2 ahli pembelajaran dan 3 ahli media menggunakan lembar validasi. Kepraktisan produk ditentukan berdasarkan respon 2 guru dan 20 siswa terhadap media pembelajaran yang dikumpulkan menggunakan angket respon. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media pembelajaaran dinyatakan valid, sedangkan respon yang diberikan guru dan siswa menunjukkan respon yang positif terhadap perangkat pembelajaran dan media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis media software adobe flash CS6 yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA terpadu pada materi energi dan makanan bagi siswa SMP. Validity and Practicality of Integrated Science Learning Tools Based on Adobe Flash Cs6 Software on Energy and Food Themes Abstract This research is based on the existence of a gap between learning expectations and learning outcomes for junior high school physics, therefore it is necessary to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process through the development of learning tools that are in accordance with the nature of science and competency standards for junior high school graduates. This study aims to describe the validity and practicality of integrated science learning tools based on Adobe Flash CS6 software on energy and food materials. This research is an evaluative descriptive research that produces an integrated science learning media that is valid and practical for junior high school students. The resulting learning media was validated by 2 learning experts and 3 media experts using a validation sheet. The practicality of the product is determined based on the responses of 2 teachers and 20 students to the learning media collected using a response questionnaire. The research data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the learning media was declared valid, while the responses given by the teacher and students showed a positive response to the learning tools and learning media produced. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the adobe flash CS6 software media-based science learning device that was developed is valid and practical to use in integrated science learning on energy and food materials for junior high school students.

This research was conducted to develop an integrated science practicum guide with the theme of inquiry-based photosynthesis for junior high school students with student learning outcomes and activities. This research is a Research and Development research with small-scale trials in class VIII A and large scale at VIIIB. The results showed that the practical guide was valid and feasible to use by obtaining an average score of> 3.2 from each expert. After calculating the n gain formula, the classical gain n value is 0.56 (moderate), with the classical completeness percentage is 100%. The results of the analysis of students' understanding using practicum guides have been developed with an average of 83.84. Meanwhile, the understanding of students who did not use the practicum guide that had been developed obtained an average of 62.20. This shows that the understanding of students using the practicum guide that was developed is higher than without using the practicum guide that has been developed. The results of student activity increased after the second meeting with an average of 85.47% of students belonging to the "active" and "very active" categories. So it can be concluded that the integrated science practicum guide for inquiry-based photosynthesis for junior high school students has proven valid and suitable for use in learning. This study aims to determine students' problems in learning English, especially in terms of speaking and listening. Basically, the teaching and learning process will run smoothly if students feel comfortable with the learning activities; therefore, this research provides some appropriate suggestions for teachers in overcoming difficulties faced by students. The respondents of this study were junior high school students. This study used a questionnaire as an instrument to determine the extent of students' skills in English. This study also conducted data analysis by analyzing the importance of English in students' views, the difficulties encountered in learning English, and also the teacher's teaching strategies desired by students. The results of this study indicate that most students have some difficulties in speaking due to lack of confidence and skills such as pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. Likewise, the difficulty in listening is caused by students’ lack of vocabulary that leads to the difficulty in understanding conversations in English. To overcome this problem, teachers need to have strategies such as identification, diagnosis, prognosis, and assistance or therapy. This research can facilitate the teachers in knowing complaints about English language difficulties experienced by the students.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a very significant change in student teaching and learning methods.The government policy requires that almost all activities including learning activities at school be eliminated and replaced with online schools. One of the most used applications for learning in this pandemic era is WhatsApp. The general objective of this research is to conduct a comparative study on the use of the WhatsApp application as a learning application during the Covid-19 pandemic in elementary and junior high school students in English. While the specific purpose of this research is to find out the strengths and weaknesses as well as the constraints of using WhatsApp as a learning application. The research method used is through field observations using qualitative descriptive methods and also interview techniques to several elementary and junior high school students in the research environment. This is interesting to research further based on direct observations of researchers on the use of WhatsApp on school students directly. This study assumes that the advantages and disadvantages of the learning process using WhatsApp will be found for both elementary school students and junior high school students. That elementary school finds difficulty in using WhatsApp for learning. Because some of the elementary students are still not fluent in reading. Junior high school learners assume that learning by WhatsApp is efficient but still not comparable to face-to-face meetings. The research implications are as follows:  that the students would be able to learn easily by using WhatsApp as a learning application. The teacher Would find another method that enhances the understanding of the students besides using WhatsApp by necessity.

This study aims to investigate students' mathematical questioning ability in junior high school students.  The new phase of curriculum reform in China requires cultivating students 'innovative enthusiasm and practical abilities to some extent, the development of students' innovative abilities, which are prominently manifested in student inquiry learning. One of which is students' ability to ask questions. This research uses quantitative methods. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. A questionnaire to 80 junior high school students studied mathematics, and the reasons for the learning questions were analyzed. Data were taken in 2018 and 2019. Describe the motivation and resilience of junior high school students' math questioning abilities. They are trying to find ways to effectively improve junior high school students' math questioning skills. This study indicates that the frequency of asking students is still low, students still believe that the teacher is always right and never deny that the teacher teaches what is wrong. In further research, further research can be carried out on how to increase the frequency of student questions in teaching and learning activities

Selecting appropriate textbook to the students is important because textbook have dominant role in the success of foreign language teaching and learning. The purpose this article is to analyze the readability level of English reading texts with automated computer tools. There are eight reading texts that will be analyzed in this qualitative study.  The data and source of data of this research were adopted from an English textbook entitled Pathway to English 2 Textbook for the Eighth Grade of Junior High School Students Published by Erlangga. The results reveal that only 1 text was appropriate for seven or eight grade of Junior High School students. There were 6 texts appropriate elementary students. And there was 1 text suitable for Senior High School students.

This study deals with developing the writing paragraph through quickwriting for junior high school at smp swasta pahlawan nasional. The objectives of this study were to find out to improve the students’ ability in writing paragraph of grade VIII students by using quickwriting strategy. Data data of the research was taken from the secondary grade of Junior High School Students at SMP Swasta Pahlawan Nasional Medan, which is taken from one class, contain 33 student. The data in this research collected by using interview and questionnaire. The interview and questionnaire will be given to collect the students’ need, problem and interesting in learning English, particularly in writing and using quick writing in teaching and learning.  In the teaching-learning process the teacher should prepare before conducting the lesson. The first is classroom procedures in teaching-learning process. Classroom procedures used by English teacher are opening, quickwriting, main activities (exploration-elaboration-confirmation), closing. There are some problems faced in the teaching-learning process. The problems faced are problem in developing idea, organizing idea, difficulties in vocabulary, tenses, and grammar, different capability of the students, and limited time. The consequently, the teacher should give solutions to cope the problems faced in teaching-learning process. So, the teacher should be creative to minimize the problem faced in teaching-learning process in order to make the students enjoy with the materials and develop student’s ability. Keywords : writing paragraph, quickwriting

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media Pop-Up Book berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMP yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan Thiagarajan dengan 3 tahap yaitu tahap define, design, dan develop. Produk valid dilihat dari hasil validasi ahli, produk praktis dilihat dari hasil angket, sedangkan produk efektif dilihat dari hasil uji coba. Hasil validasi para ahli memperoleh aspek materi dinyatakan valid dengan hasil sebesar 82,42%, sedangkan aspek media dinyatakan sangat valid dengan hasil sebesar 86,15%. Hasil angket respon guru memperoleh hasil sebesar 90,59%, sedangkan hasil angket respon siswa diperoleh hasil sebesar 89,12% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Hasil uji coba memperoleh hasil sebesar 81,58% dengan kriteria efektif dimana terdapat 31 siswa yang tuntas dan 7 siswa yang tidak tuntas dari standar kelulusan minimum yang ditentukan oleh sekolah adalah 75 untuk mata pelajaran matematika. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan media Pop-Up Book berbasis CTL dapat menfasilitasi pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMP. AbstractThis study aims to produce a Pop-Up Book media based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in achieving valid, practical, and effective problem solving abilities of junior high school students. This research is a Thiagarajan development study with 3 stages: define, design, and develop. The validity of the product is seen from the results of expert validation, the practicality of the product is seen from the results of the questionnaire, while the effectiveness of the product is seen from the results of the trial run. The results of the validation of the experts obtained the material aspect was declared valid with 82.42%, while the media aspect was declared very valid with 86.15%. The results of the teacher questionnaire responses obtained of 90.59%, while the results of student response questionnaires obtained of 89.12% with very practical criteria. The trial results obtained of 81.58% with effective criteria where there are 31 students who completed and 7 students who did not complete the minimum graduation standards determined by the school is 75 for mathematics. Therefore, it can be concluded that CTL-based Pop-Up Book media can facilitate the achievement of junior high school students' problem solving abilities.
