Homoplastic ovarian transplantation is recommended by Sippel (Zntrlb. F. Gyn., 1924, No. 1-2) in the treatment of infertility, which is based on disorders and irregularities in egg maturation processes with a tendency to premature rupture of follicles, followed by atresia or small cyst-like degeneration.

ABSTRACT Müllerian cysts typically are <2 cm in size and asymptomatic. Our patient presented with big mass coming out per vaginum and intermittent vaginal discharge. A provisional diagnosis of first degree uterovaginal descent with cystorectocele with small right lateral vaginal wall cyst was made. The patient was posted for vaginal hysterectomy with anteroposterior colporrhaphy with excision of the cyst. What we thought was a routine vaginal hysterectomy for prolapse allotting another few minutes for a small cyst removal, turned out to be a complicated procedure, requiring additional time and expertize. Not all patients presenting with mass coming out per vaginum, necessarily, are a case of prolapse. One should not minimize the importance of vaginal wall cysts, irrespective of their size. A detailed evaluation, using MRI scan is indicated, prior to proceeding with their removal. How to cite this article Valecha SM, Shah N, Gandhewar M, Shende P. Rare Case of Prolapsing Vaginal Cyst. External frontoethmoidectomy with sinus obliteration using ceramic hydroxyapatite granules was applied to prevent the postoperative complications in 12 patients with frontal mucocele. Eleven patients were satisfactorily treated by this method, although minor complications such as slight diplopia and retraction of the frontal region were present in one case. One patient had small cyst persistence in the orbit and was treated again. There have been no recurrences to date in any of the patients during follow-up periods of 22 to 53 months.

In 1960 Wilson and Mikity1 reported a syndrome of chronic respiratory distress in premature infants. Signs of hyperpnea, intercostal retractions, and cyanosis develop insidiously during the first several weeks of life. Episodes of apnea and rales on auscultation can occur. Respiratory distress persists for the first month or two and slowly subsides in the infants who survive. The chest radiographs show progressive distinctive changes.2 During the acute phase, the radiographs show a diffuse streaky infiltrate, multiple small cyst-like foci, and often hyperaeration. The intermediate stage is characterized by coarse streaks radiating from the hilus, primarily to the upper lobes, with basilar clearing.
