Explicit-Implicit Schemes for Calculating the Dynamics of Layered Media with Nonlinear Conditions at Contact Boundaries

In this paper we consider the problem of dynamic loading of a deformable solid medium con- taining slip planes with nonlinear slip conditions on them. An explicit-implicit scheme was constructed for the numerical solution of the constitutive system of equations, which exactly reduces to correcting the stress tensor values after performing the elastic step. An implicit approximation of the constitutive relations containing a small parameter in the denominator of the nonlinear free term was used with the second order of the approximation. The correction procedure is applicable for those cases when the viscosity parameter of interlayers providing the sliding mode of the contact boundaries is not small. The solution of the problem of the seismic waves propagation in an inhomogeneous fractured geological massif in a two-dimensional case was obtained numerically

The Use of Chromate Desorption Systems to Optimize the Position of the Wells Relative to the Contact Boundaries During the Development of Oil Rim Fields

This paper presents a novel technology for identifying the inflow profile during the oil rim development using chromate desorption systems that makes it possible to solve one of the critical tasks related to long horizontal and multi-bottom-hole wells—optimizing the position of well relative to the contact boundaries to prevent early water breakthroughs and gas outs.

Língua e Linguagens: entre a pesquisa e o digital | Languages: between research and the digital

RESUMO Este artigo examinará as fronteiras de contato das linhas de pesquisa de língua estrangeira com a cultura digital.Essas se estendem entre o ambiente analógico e digital na produção de conhecimento e pesquisa no Brasil. Mais especificamente, argumento que a pesquisa de línguas se serve da cultura digital para o desenvolvimento e a atualização de sua pesquisa. Este ensaio integra o estudo, em andamento, que é parte do projeto Language Acts and Worldmaking;e permite concluir que é preciso um maior engajamento multilíngue dentro das humanidades digitais e o entendimento de como estas duas áreas de contato se comunicam e colaboram entre si.Palavras-chave: Cultura Digital; Pesquisa; Línguas Modernas; Humanidades Digitais.ABSTRACT This article examines the contact boundaries between modern languages research and the digital culture. These boundaries extend between the analogue and digital environment in the production of knowledge and research in Brazil. More specifically, I argue that modern languages research draws on the digital culture for the development of its discipline and range of investigation. This essay is part of the ongoing study carried out by the Language Acts and Worldmakingproject and concludes that greater multilingual engagement is required within the Digital Humanities, as well as a more extensive understanding of how these two areas of contact communicate and collaborate.Keywords: Digital Culture; Research; Modern Languages; Digital Humanities.

Estimation of Thermodiffusion Influence on Formation of Transition Zones during Brazing

The work formulates a particular problem on redistribution of an active element from brazing alloy into brazed materials with due account for thermodiffusion effect. The analysis of the solution has demonstrated that thermodiffusion can facilitate the acceleration of mass transfer from brazing alloy into brazed materials and cause the accumulation of components in the vicinity of contact boundaries.
