Abstract V606 Centauri (V606 Cen) is an early B-type close binary with an orbital period of 1.4950935 days, and its complete light curves are very difficult to observe on the ground. By analyzing the continuous light curve obtained by TESS, we found that it is a marginal contact binary with a very low fill-out factor of about 2%. The O − C diagram of V606 Cen is constructed for the first time based on 118.8 yr of eclipse times. The O − C diagram has been found to show a downward parabolic change together with a cyclic oscillation with a semiamplitude of 0.0545 days and a period of 88.3 yr. The downward parabolic variation reveals a linear period decrease at a rate of dP/dt = −2.08 × 10−7 days yr−1 that can be explained by the mass transfer from the more massive component to the less massive one. Both the marginal contact configuration and the continuous period decrease suggest that V606 Cen is a newly formed contact binary via Case A mass transfer. The cyclic change in the O − C diagram can be explained by the light-travel time effect via the presence of a third body. The lowest mass of the tertiary companion is determined to be M 3 = 4.51 (±0.43) M ⊙ and the tertiary is orbiting around the central eclipsing binary in a nearly circular orbit (e = 0.33). All of the results indicate that V606 Cen is a newly formed massive contact binary in a hierarchical triple system.

In this research, the electrical and thermal conductivity of the compounds BaCl2-CuSO4-Na2CO3 - Ba6Na8C4Cl12O12 - Ba6Cu4S4Cl12O16 - Cu6Na8S6C4O36 and the solid solutions resulting from the interaction of these compounds with each other, using the thermal conductivity measuring device (ITP-M64) and electrical conductivity measurement device (the four paths) were studied. The results are different between superconducting materials and medium conductive materials (semiconductors).

The $P$-position sets of some combinatorial games have special combinatorial structures. For example, the $P$-position set of the hexad game, first investigated by Conway and Ryba, is the block set of the Steiner system $S(5, 6, 12)$ in the shuffle numbering, denoted by $D_{\text{sh}}$. However, few games were known to be related to Steiner systems in this way. For a given Steiner system, we construct a game whose $P$-position set is its block set. By using constructed games, we obtain the following two results. First, we characterize $D_{\text{sh}}$ among the 5040 isomorphic $S(5, 6, 12)$ with point set $\{0, 1, ..., 11\}$. For each $S(5, 6, 12)$, our construction produces a game whose $P$-position set is its block set. From $D_{\text{sh}}$, we obtain the hexad game, and this game is characterized as the unique game with the minimum number of positions among the obtained 5040 games. Second, we characterize projective Steiner triple systems by using game distributions. Here, the game distribution of a Steiner system $D$ is the frequency distribution of the numbers of positions in games obtained from Steiner systems isomorphic to $D$. We find that the game distribution of an $S(t, t + 1, v)$ can be decomposed into symmetric components and that a Steiner triple system is projective if and only if its game distribution has a unique symmetric component.

In combinatorial design theory, clustering elements into a set of three elements is the heart of classifying data. This article will provide insight into formulating algorithm for a new type of triple system, called a Butterfly triple system. Basically, in this algorithm development, a starter of cyclic near-resolvable ((v-1)/2)-cycle system of the 2-fold complete graph 2K_v is employed to construct the starter of cyclic ((v-1)/2)-star decomposition of 2K_v. These starters were then decomposed into triples and classified as a starter of a cyclic Butterfly triple system. The obtained starter set generated a triple system of order A special reference for case 𝑣𝑣 ≡ 9 (mod 12) was presented to demonstrate the development of the Butterfly triple system.

In this paper, we give some properties of the generalized derivation algebra [Formula: see text] of a Bihom-Lie triple system [Formula: see text]. In particular, we prove that [Formula: see text], the sum of the quasiderivation algebra and the quasicentroid. We also prove that [Formula: see text] can be embedded as derivations in a larger Bihom-Lie triple system.
