The GENE-3D code, the global stellarator version of the established GENE framework, has been extended to an electromagnetic gyrokinetic code. This paper outlines the basic structure of the algorithm, highlighting the treatment of the electromagnetic terms. The numerical implementation is verified against the radially global GENE code in linear and nonlinear tokamak simulations, recovering excellent agreement between both codes. As a first application to stellarator plasmas, linear and nonlinear global simulations with kinetic electrons of ion temperature gradient (ITG) turbulence in Wendelstein 7-X were performed, showing a decrease of ITG activity through the introduction of electromagnetic effects via a finite plasma- $\beta$ . The upgrade makes it possible to study a large variety of new physical scenarios, including kinetic electron and electromagnetic effects, reducing the gap between gyrokinetic models and physically realistic systems.

Abstract The paper discusses specific electromagnetic effects observed in the large circulating masses of liquid metal inherent in the heat transport systems of the commercial fast breeder reactors. It was explained why the criterion Lu of the magnetic field self-excitation in the liquid metal coolant has limiting conditions, determined by the balance nature of the thermoelectric currents circulating in reactor.

The results of a physical simulation using negatively charged artificial thunderstorm cells to test the spectrum of possible electromagnetic effects of upward streamer discharges on the model elements of transmission line monitoring systems (sensor or antennas) are presented. Rod and elongated model elements with different electric field amplification coefficients are investigated. A generalization is made about the parameters of upward streamer current impulse and its electromagnetic effect on both kinds of model elements. A wavelet analysis of the upward streamer corona current impulse and of the signal simultaneously induced in the neighboring model element is conducted. A generalization of the spectral characteristics of the upward streamer current and of the signals induced by the electromagnetic radiation of the nearby impulse streamer corona on model elements is made. The reasons for super-high and ultra-high frequency ranges in the wavelet spectrum of the induced electromagnetic effect are discussed. The characteristic spectral ranges of the possible electromagnetic effect of upward streamer flash on the elements of transmission line monitoring systems are considered.

In Azerbaijan, due to natural oil, there are large reserves of bituminous rocks. Absheron-Gobustan district has 11 bituminous sandstone deposits with reserves of 12,673,6600 tons [1-3]. The largest reserves are concentrated in the Balakhan part of the Kirmaki Mountains, the reserves of which amount to more than 50 million tons. For the purpose of extraction of oil from bituminous rocks different methods and methods are used. The results of the study of electromagnetic effects on the process of displacement of oil from bituminous sand with the use of ferromagnetic liquid are given in this work. Keywords: bituminous sands, oil extraction, ferromagnetic liquid.
