Abstract Recently, natural fibres composite is rigorously explored as alternative fibres due to the source depletion of petroleum. This research was focusing on pineapple leaf (PALF). The purpose of this research was to study the single fibre tensile properties of PALF. The single fibre tensile test was conducted via the universal testing machine following ASTM D3379 – 89 standards. The result shows that the Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) and Young’s Modulus of PALF were 141.093 MPa and 89.073 MPa, respectively. This research’s benefits include reducing agriculture waste of pineapple leaf, which is commonly being thrown out by the farmers when the fruits are harvested. It focuses not only on waste reduction but also on economic factors when other industries fully utilise the pineapple leaf.

Adsorption is one of the simplest techniques with low economic requirements. Coconut shell is an abundant agriculture waste which is inexpensive and easy to be obtained in Malaysia. This agriculture waste was transformed to activated carbon via 600°C of carbonization and zinc chloride activation. The ability of coconut shell-based activated carbon to remove phenolic compounds from aqueous solutions was evaluated. From the experiment, the equilibrium time for the adsorption of phenol onto coconut shell-based activated carbon is 120 minutes. The effect of the operating parameters, such as contact time, initial concentration, agitation speed, adsorbent dosage, and pH of the phenolic solution were studied. Adsorption kinetics models (pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, and Elovich equation) and isotherm models (Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin, and Dubinin-Radushkevich) were used to fit the experimental data.Pseudo-second-order was found to be the best fitted kinetics model to describe the adsorption of phenol on coconut shell-based activated carbon. While the equilibrium experiment data was well expressed by the Temkin isotherm model, The maximum adsorption capacity is determined as 19.02 mg/g, which is comparatively lower than the previous research. Meanwhile, 92% of removal efficiency was achieved by a dosage of 10g/L. Meanwhile, the adsorption of phenol by activated carbon was more favorable under acidic conditions. The favourable isotherm behavior was indicated by the dimensionless separation factor. The functional group and compound class of activated carbon before and after the experiment were determined through the analysis of Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy.

Abstract: Shirols rapid growth of economic, industrialization and urbanization, have resulted in worldwide water pollution. In shirol today approximately 4 lakh people over half the population consume drinking water contaminated with levels of animal and human. These are alarming serious health problems. In last few decades Taluka Shirol is dangerously suffering from cancer and various diseases. Based on the previous year, from 2013 to 2018 a total Only 201 cancer patient’s data has been received. The soil and water is responsible for both cancer and other viral diseases. These diseases spreading all over vigorously. According to Raychurs Research center there is Poisson matter, chemicals founded in water, soil and vegetables sample. These causes cancer and disease. Since 1990s and 2000 there is not almost a complete natural river in the world. Therefore, it is urgent to develop a cost effective technique to manage the river water quality. In this paper we have provide two measure conclusions. First is Provide filter from using orange peels and banana peels was studied by investigation of test. Which is proved more beneficial and this method is based on agriculture waste automatically, it can be said that it cost effective as well. Second is Created awareness among the people and use the organic fertilizer and reduce excess used of non-organic fertilizer. Keywords: Shirol, cancer patients, Organic fertilizers

In this research, the rice hull and coconut hull from agriculture waste were investigated. The lignin content within the rice and coconut hull were determined before and after pre-treatment. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) used to predict the optimal condition for the treatments and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) to identify the lignin content. The interaction of NaOH concentration, contact time (CT), and sample weight was investigated to optimize the lignin removal percentage (%). The correlation coefficient, R2 for a quadratic model of rice hull lignin removal was 0.8863 while for coconut hull lignin removal in the linear model was 0.7998, as well as the 2FI model was 0.8892. The optimum condition for rice hull lignin removal predicted by RSM were10 M NaOH concentration, 1-hour CT and 0.5 g sample produced 32.45% lignin removal. While for coconut hull lignin removal were 10 M NaOH concentration, 12 hours CT, 0.5 g sample produced 59.47% removal of lignin. Results show that alkaline pre-treated rice hull and coconut hull able to be used to remove higher percentage of lignin.
