Fungi are a promising alternative source of oil to produce biodiesel, still very little known. The identification of a species with desirable characteristics is a fundamental component to achieve the economic viability of the process. The study aimed to carry out the evaluation of the fungus Aspergillus terreus in different culture media and different temperatures, the production of fungal biomass and in line with obtaining the profile of methyl esters of fatty acids. The fungal biomass revealed that in the NBRIP medium at both a temperature of 29 ºC and 36 ºC, it resulted in a great potential in the production of saturated fatty acids (SFA), which have excellent combustion properties, reaching values of 35.89 and 34,89%, respectively. For most species, the fuel would need to be mixed to make up culture conditions to be optimized and achieve the correct lipid profile, so that the fungal fuel meets European biodiesel production standards (EN 14214). Aspergillus terreus from iron ore tailings proved to be a promising microbial biomass as an energy source in the production of biodiesel.

The article provides data on the development of a new thickening composition for printing cotton-lye fabric with antibacterial properties based on biodegradable polymers Chitosan synthesized from Apis Mellifera bee dead with CMC with addition of CMC and synthetic hydrolyzed acrylic emulsion. Studied the fungicidal properties of the developed mixed thickener for active dyes used in printing fabrics. As a result of observations, it was revealed that these new thickeners on the basis of exhibit pronounced antimicrobial activity in relation to the micelle fungus Aspergillus terreus. The optical density of the samples shows that these thickeners are resistant to mycelial fungi. Among thickeners, thickeners based on Uzhitan-?MS-HAE, Uzkhitan-CMS have the most pronounced bactericidal activity, and these thickeners are more stable, they can be used the next day and even on the second day for printing mixed fabrics.

We evaluated the newly proposed agar-screening method for echinocandin susceptibility testing of 144 Aspergillus section Terrei isolates in comparison with Etest®. Both methods defined the isolates to be wild type strains for anidulafungin and micafungin, with Etest® minimal effective concentrations (MECs) being ≤0.004 mg/L. For caspofungin, the novel agar-screening method identified 37 isolates to be caspofungin non-wild type based on their fluffy colony appearance on caspofungin agar. Etest® MECs for caspofungin for these isolates scattered widely from 0.002 to 0.750 mg/L, showing only partial accordance between the two methods.
