Properties of polymer composite material consisting of carbon fabric and two matrix types (epoxy and organic-silicon) have been studied. The main purpose of the organic-silicon matrix is to relax stresses arising in carbon-filled plastic components under loads and to decelerate (or stop) crack growth. The structure of the composite material was determined by using a tomography. On the basis of the structure, a finite-element model was developed and a calculation of the stressed-deformed state depending on elastic characteristics of the matrix was performed. A safety factor calculation was made. It was found out that the addition of organic-silicon material in the composite composition made possible to decrease stress values in the crack tip that considerably increased the service life of such materials.

Using the IR-thermography methods, the experimental evaluation of temperature transitions in a steel and aluminum glue-welded joint made with applying various adhesive materials (epoxy, anaerobic, organic-silicon and hot melt glue) has been carried out. It was found out that viscosity of an adhesive material considerably effected on the temperature transitions in the glue-welded joint as well as on glue line thickness. The temperature transitions were demonstrated on different sections of the glue-welded joint. Conclusions were made about the influence of properties of adhesive materials on the glue-welded joint quality.

Numerous evidence and clinical trials have been published in recent years on the role of silicon for the maintenance of general well-being and of bones in particular. However, no study has so far investigated which fundamental contribution to health could provide silicon when taken with other trace elements in cases, very frequent, of their insufficient contribution. In this work we present a preliminary open-air study on a group of patients, using an original and innovative formulation containing organic SI G5 plus other trace elements, for the prevention and treatment of osteoarticular diseases of various origins.

Transparent superhydrophobic materials can be used in car glass, curtain walls, mobile phone screens, and other items. However, the hydrophobicity, transparency, and abrasion resistance of the transparent superhydrophobic coating are mutually restricted, and it is difficult to prepare transparent superhydrophobic coating with good performance. In this article, taking the mobile phone screen transparent coating as the research object, the inorganic silicon resin crystal coating as the main material, and the organic silicon resin as the binder and the hardness regulator, with the addition of the hydrophobically modifying nano silica particles, a high-transparent, wear-resistant, and superhydrophobic coating is researched. Experiments showed that when the composition mass ratio of SJ-32F resin to 9825 resin is 9:1 and the mass ratio of modified nano silica is 1.7%, the coating has a hardness of 3H–4H suitable for mobile phone screens, the contact angle of the coating can reach more than 150°, the rolling angle is less than 10°, and the light transmittance of the coating remains high at 91–95%. The cross-hatch adhesion strength of the coating reaches 5B, and the average adhesion strength measured by the adhesion pull tester is about 5.4 MPa. When the rubbing times reached 100, the light transmittance of the coating remained above 80%, and the contact angle remained basically unchanged.
