In the present paper, the so-called Einstein’s causality is scrutinized and proven to be an illusion, a sort of mathematical fallacy. Causality as a well-established universal principle was and is absolutely valid for subluminal, luminal and superluminal signals under any natural and/or artificial circumstances. It is also shown that conceptually special relativity theory (SRT) is inapplicable to superluminality of physical phenomena since SRThas the light speed in vacuum as an upper limiting speed in its own proper domain of applications, and also because SRT is crucially based on the concept of inertial reference frames (IRFs) which are related to each other by Lorentz transformations, that is why the relative velocity of any two IRFs must be smaller than light speed.

In this paper, we summarize a remarkable result obtained by Soskin et al. in Phys Rev A 56, 4064 (1997). We show that for an on-axis superposition of two different-waist Laguerre-Gauss beams with numbers (0, n) and (0, m), the topological charge equals TC=m up to a plane where the waist radii become the same, given that the beam (0, m) has a greater waist radius, changing to TC=n after this plane. This occurs because in the initial plane the superposition has an on-axis op-tical vortex with TC=m and on different axis-centered circles there are (n – m) vortices with TC= +1 and (n – m) vortices with TC= –1. On approaching the above-specified plane, the vortices with TC= -1 "depart" to infinity with a higher-than-light speed, with the TC of the total beam becoming equal to TC=n. If, on the contrary, the beam (0, m) has a smaller waist, then the total TC equals n on a path from the initial plane up to a plane where the waist radii become the same, changing to TC=m after the said plane. This occurs because after the said plane, n–m vortices with TC= –1 "arrive" from infinity with a higher-than-light speed.

The time transformation governing the operation of the global positioning system (GPS) clocks and the time corrections required to ensure sustained clock synchronization are determined to be the Selleri time transformation and not the Lorentz time transformation. This condition, as well as GPS-demonstrated light speed anisotropy, falsifies the Lorentz transformations and special relativity.

Mechanics is the science of the equilibrium and motion of bodies subject to forces. The adjective classical, hence Classical Mechanics, was added in the 20th century to distinguish it from relativistic mechanics which studies motion with speed close to light speed and quantum mechanics which studies motion at a subatomic level.

Abstract The principle of the constancy of the velocity of light, which stated that the light velocity is invariant to the motion of the emitter, was well established and directly proven by many experiments. Interestingly, the further assumption that the light velocity is also independent of the motion of the observer was, arguably, never conclusively proven by any experiment for a century. This paper tried to address some perceived technical difficulties in such experiments and proposed two experiments to test this assumption. One is to directly measure the light speed as to moving sensors, with the setup designed in such a way that the concerns of time synchronization and dilation can be avoided. Another experiment is to test the isotropy of the light speed to a high-speed particle by measuring the momentum to acceleration ratio. The experiment results, if positive, will provide direct proof of the assumption. Otherwise, it may imply a need for further investigation. Since the light speed invariance to moving observers is a key assumption of some fundamental physical theory, either way, the experiments will have significant importance.
