Abstract. The deformation of blades under complex loads of multiple working conditions will reduce the energy conversion efficiency. To reduce the deviation of the blade shape in practical working conditions, a combination and optimization method of blade design schemes under multiple working conditions, based on the entropy weight vague sets, is proposed. The sensitivity of each working condition index is analyzed based on the information entropy, and the satisfaction degree of the design scheme based on the design requirements and experiences is described with the vague set. The matching degree of different design schemes for multiple working conditions is quantified according to the scoring function. The combination and optimization of the design scheme are verified by numerical simulation analysis. The results show that the proposed design scheme has a smaller blade shape deviation than the traditional design scheme under multiple working conditions.

With the development of shallow surface mineral resources in metal mines, it is gradually turning to the stage of deep mining. According to the current mining depth and the average annual depth, during the period of “14th Five-Year Plan,” one-third of the underground metal mines will reach or exceed the mining depth of 1,000 m, with the deepest being 2,000 m. In the stage of deep mining, mines will face the conditions of high stress, high temperature, high well depth, and strong mining disturbance, which will greatly increase the difficulty of large-scale deep mining. Among them, the high ground stress environment is the principal problem of many technical problems in deep mining. The selection of mining method has become a prerequisite for solving the problem of efficient and safe mining of deep deposits. In this paper, the vague set theory was introduced into the selection of mining methods and a vague set model for deep unloading mining schemes was established. Taking the Jinchuan No. 2 mining area as the engineering background, four unloading schemes for deep mining were proposed, and the Vague set model was used for optimization. It is concluded that the mining approach with large-section unloading is the optimal unloading mining plan. The application shows that it has the advantages of high unloading efficiency, large production capacity, and low loss index. It has been fully promoted in the deep mining of the mining area. It is feasible and effective to use the vague set theory in the selection of deep unloading mining schemes, which provides a proper approach in the selection of deep unloading mining schemes.

From the hybrid nature of cubic sets, we develop a new generalized hybrid structure of cubic sets known as cubic vague sets (CVSs). We also define the concept of internal cubic vague sets (ICVSs) and external cubic vague sets (ECVSs) with examples and discuss their interesting properties, including ICVSs and ECVSs under both P and R-Order. Moreover, we prove that the R and R-intersection of ICVSs (or ECVSs) need not be an ICVS (or ECVS). We also derive the different conditions for P-union (P-intersection, R and R-intersection) operations of both ICVSs (ECVSs) to become an ICVS (ECVS). Finally, we introduce a decision-making based on the proposed similarity measure of the CVSs domain and a numerical example is given to elucidate that the proposed similarity measure of CVSs is an important concept for measuring entropy in the information/data. It will be shown that the cubic vague set has the novelty to accurately represent and model two-dimensional information for real-life phenomena that are periodic in nature.

One of the most important issues that must be taken into consideration during the planning of energy storage systems (ESSs) is improving distribution network economy, reliability, and stability. This paper presents a two-layer optimization model to determine the optimal siting and sizing of ESSs in the distribution network and their best compromise between the real power loss, voltage stability margin, and the application cost of ESSs. Thereinto, an improved bat algorithm based on non-dominated sorting (NSIBA), as an outer layer optimization model, is employed to obtain the Pareto optimal solution set to offer a group of feasible plans for an internal optimization model. According to these feasible plans, the method of fuzzy entropy weight of vague set, as an internal optimization model, is applied to obtain the synthetic priority of Pareto solutions for planning the optimal siting and sizing of ESSs. By this means, the adopted fuzzy entropy weight method is used to obtain the objective function’s weights and vague set method to choose the solution of planning ESSs’ optimal siting and sizing. The proposed method is tested on a real 26-bus distribution system, and the results prove that the proposed method exhibits higher capability and efficiency in finding optimum solutions.

Aiming at improving the tracking stability performance for intelligent electric vehicles, a novel stability coordinated control strategy based on preview characteristics is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the traditional stability control target is introduced with the two degrees of freedom model, which is realized by the sliding mode control strategy. Secondly, an auxiliary control target further amending the former one with the innovation formulation of the preview characteristics is established. At last, a multiple purpose Vague set leverages the contribution of the traditional target and the auxiliary preview target in various vehicle states. The proposed coordinated control strategy is analyzed on the MATLAB/CarSim simulation platform and verified on an intelligent electric vehicle established with A&D5435 rapid prototyping experiment platform. Simulation and experimental results indicate that the proposed control strategy based on preview characteristics can effectively improve the tracking stability performance of intelligent electric vehicles. In the double lane change simulation, the peak value of sideslip angle, yaw rate, and lateral acceleration of the vehicle is reduced by 13.2%, 11.4%, and 8.9% compared with traditional control strategy. The average deviations between the experimental and simulation results of yaw rate, lateral acceleration, and steering wheel angle are less than 10% at different speeds, which demonstrates the consistency between the experimental and the simulation results.
