In times of crisis language is often enriched with new words called neologisms. After all, extraordinary circumstances call for new words. This also applies to the corona crisis. For example, the Dutch have had to deal with the anderhalvemetersamenleving and other corona measures. Moreover, the crisis has caused a lot of “corona damage”, both economically, psychologically and physically. The vaccination campaign has set the stage for a return to normality. This route also provides necessary neologisms. This article takes a look at which neologisms were used on one day in a particular newspaper. Since most neologisms consist of compound nouns, the sample will focus on these only. The De Volkskrant online edition, dated 16 April 2021, will be used for this purpose, using the articles obtained after entering the search term corona. After a short introduction to neologisms and the different types of compositions, the neologisms obtained are then categorised according to different composition categories and according to corona themes. Finally, a conclusion is drawn based on the results obtained.

Specialized language from the spheres of pedagogy and psychology constitutes a fundamental aspect within the teacher – student communication. The submitted paper handles lexical and morphological features of compound nouns containing the nouns amnesia, memory and recall. The primary research interest focuses on collocations and concordances in which they appear on a regular basis; we also deal with the grammatical relations and elements of meaning that have an impact on the discourse characteristics. The studied lexical units are elaborated within English Web 2015 utilizing Sketch Engine. In the research, both quantitative (statistical methods) and qualitative (observation, comparison, generalization, data-driven research data modelling) methods were employed. To begin with, we provide the frequency list of the studied words within the text corpus, and we categorize them from the morphological perspective as the two aspects influence their lexical behaviour and employment for teaching purposes. The research outcomes indicate that the analysed lexical units exist in a broad discourse scope; moreover, they appreciably grant profitable acts of communication in the pedagogical settings. Eventually, we outline feasible pedagogical inferences of the inquiry outcomes in the teaching of English and we suggest a set of corpus-driven exercises on the professionally-oriented language from the fields of pedagogy and psychology. To sum up, the outcomes confirm that the lexical and semantic characteristics of specialized language underline social aspects of communication between experts (and public too). Further, we intend to elaborate words belonging to other spheres of professional communication (medicine, sociology, etc.) in the framework of the corpus examination.

This article describes compound nouns in English and Uzbek, their specific pragmatic aspects. Although the problem of compound nouns in linguistics has been studied by many linguists, there are many unsolved problems in comparing compound words in languages ??and analyzing them from a pragmalinguistic point of view. The compound word, which has a special place in the richness of language vocabulary, is in fact a convenient way of naming in simple terms the concepts of events that take place in reality, of existing objects. Hence, it can be concluded that the study of semantic, grammatical and syntactic features of language alone is not enough. As a result, the field of "pragmatics" has found its place in linguistics, having its own goals and objectives. In addition, the article also uses analysis from examples from the literature to reveal the pragmatic nature of compound words. However, scientific examples have shown that no sign is a leading factor in determining the nature of compound words.

Language is an important mean of communication and it is constantly changing. During the language change a lot of words become out of use and many other new words become part of lexicon . The lexicon of the language is constantly enlarging and one important way to enlarge a language is by word formation. In German and Albanian Languages word formation is defined as a process of forming new words. In both, German and Albanian Languages an important contribution in word formation is given by compounding. In German Language compound words make up 2/3 of lexical language. The dominant part of compound words is the formation of compound nouns. German Language has got a lot of compound nouns so it has the ability to create new compounds between the connection of nouns or the connection of a noun with the other parts of discourse. In most cases the compounds of German Language find their equivalent in Albanian Language in simple words or phrases. In both languages a compound noun consists of two or more (lexical parts) components; they can have subordinate and coordinate relations. The majority of compounds is done by coordinate relations (determinate compositions). The composition components have a strict word order. If the word order changes in German Language, the meaning of composition will change, it will take a new meaning. (Of course there are exceptions in a few cases). If the word order changes in Albanian Language, the word becomes meaningless. In Albanian language the components of a compound noun are connected without fugues. Compound nouns with connecting vowels (o / a) are very few, while in German linking elements (fugues : e-, -s-, -es-, -n-, -en-, -er-, -ens-, -o-, ) are typical.

"The Evolution of the Compound Nouns in German Titles of Some of the Tales by the Brothers Grimm and in Their Romanian Translations. The titles of the tales written by the Brothers Grimm have suffered a number of changes throughout the years. The evolution of these titles shows the fact that there was a growing need for understanding them, the Brothers Grimm thus introducing compound nouns in many of their titles. This phenomenon can be seen even in Romanian translations; the titles have been translated differently because of these compound nouns, which are atypical for the Romanian language. The difficulty of translating these titles has led to the use of two distinct translation methods, the adaptive one and the transfer one. The current article will explore these modifications in the case of selected titles with the purpose of establishing the most explicit title in German and also the best translation of a title in Romanian. Keywords: Brothers Grimm, the evolution of titles, compound nouns, history, translation methods "
