Abstract This article discusses the essence of the formation of knitted filled filter cloths, in which the mass fraction of the filler exceeds more than 50% of the total surface density. The new method was tested in the production environment of the ‘Gani Rakhimov Ishonch’ enterprise (Samarkand) by modernizing the existing equipment, and also a pilot batch of products and final products were produced for filtering fruit juices.

All the domestic passenger cars since 1960 are produced only on bogies with roller bearings. A transition to roller bearings demanded the cars to be equipped with inspection system of axle box heating. It is necessary because axle box be heated over a specified temperature that leads to deterioration of the oil lubricity. The main element of the inspection system of axle box heating is a thermal sensor that is installed on each axle box. Nowadays, bolster bogies of all models are equipped with type 393 thermal sensors. At introduction of new bolsterless bogies the installation of the type 393 thermal sensors on the axle boxes was carried out with the use of special brass adapter. The observations in operation showed insufficient reliability of the inspection system of axle box heating in bolsterless bogies. Consequently, the authors have carried out research on new increased reliability thermal sensors. The pilot batch has passed preliminary and acceptance rig tests. On the results of the rig tests it has been decided to carry out an under-control operation on mainline passenger cars. The under-control operation with new sensors has been carried out on the basis of the Novosibirsk passenger wagon depot. On the basis of its results the authors have established the required temperature of the inspection system of axle box heating actuation.

The relevance of the research topic is due to the trend towards the use of permanent magnets in the designs of electromechanical converters, which is expressed in the multi-pole design of synchronous magnetoelectric machines operating in generator and motor modes. The paper presents the improvement of the method of identification of permanent magnets given in based on the study of the distribution law of magnetic forces of interaction between prototypes of permanent magnets and a magnetic reflector for compliance with the normal distribution according to Pearson's criterion. The possibility of using the methods and properties of the normal distribution law in solving the problem of identifying permanent magnets with the same volume magnetization and sampling permanent magnets from a pilot batch for the development and creation of magnetoelectric machines for various purposes is shown.

The work investigated the possibility of using the technical lingo-sulfonate as a binder for the manufacture of small cores by blow-off methods in the production of shaped cast-iron casting, similar to the dominant at the present time Cold-Box-Amin process. It is shown that the advantage of lignin materials is their safety, manifested both in the workplace - directly in the foundry, and in ensuring environmental cleanliness in the area of the location of such production. It is indicated that, when switching to the proposed lignin materials, the price of binders can be reduced by two orders of magnitude. Experimental compositions of mixtures are proposed, and their tests are carried out. The quantitative characteristics of the composition of the sand-oligo-sulfonate mixture are established. As a result, a pilot batch of rods was produced, and high-quality shaped cast iron castings were made. Special attention is paid to the demand to develop the specialized equipment, focused on lignin binders.

Purpose – Clinical trials are the most critical step in the process of drug development and evaluation to bring a new drug to market. The purpose of this article was to show an approach of the planning and production of a new innovative drug for a clinical study, based on the presentation of decision-making process in a national pharmaceutical industry.Design / methodology / approach - Through a case-study methodology, it was described the pilot batch production planning of a new drug for clinical trial, focusing on how the company evaluates the adequacy of the available systems at the manufacturing plant and how they use them in drug production planning process.Findings – A previous planning for clinical trial supplies production is determinant to decide the order, amount and timing of the products to be produced when the manufacturing plant is shared with the production of commercial products. Also, even in a small pilot batch production, there is a substantial waste of supplies during the process.Research Limitations / Implications – This study showed the production planning process of one investigational product with the recruitment of few patients for the clinical trial. However, the number of patients enrolled can reach thousands in many clinical trials, and it does need a more complex production planning to avoid wastes and try to reduce the process costs.Practical Implications - This article provides a picture of the production planning of clinical trial supplies chain under uncertainty and the decisions that affect the large-scale production of commercial drugs and the pilot batch production of experimental drugs.Originality / value - Although the results of clinical trials is the most significant source of uncertainty in the development process of any new drug, a good clinical supply planning and processes management can avoid or attenuate the imminent risk of process failure.
