Easy-to-Read content results from applying text simplification principles to make information accessible for persons with reading and learning difficulties. While both the creation process and simplification principles have gained the interest of scholars and the general public in the past years, the role of validators is still less visible compared with that of writers or translators. This paper sought to put a spotlight on validators by answering the questions of who these professionals are, what tasks they take on, and how they have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills for the job. In doing so, it investigated a subset of the data about validators’ demographical and educational backgrounds and current activity collected in an online survey launched within the innovative framework of the Erasmus+ project Train2Validate.

Emotional Grasping of the Kairos in Children Talk: between Philosophical Act and Didactical Gesture. An essential gesture of animating a philosophical dialogue with children consists in grasping within their talk, an opportune word or turn of phrase, the kairos, and bouncing off it to advance reasoning. Based on the analysis of expert practices, we propose a typology of the emotional grasp of Kairos that reflects the tension between investigative and educational aims in these exchanges. Beyond the effect of surprise, regulation makes it possible to welcome and share one's emotions and to make them evolve into wonder, astonishment or doubt. Such trajectories are decisive for the future of the new idea. But other reactions are frequent, offering other opportunities for the current activity and children training in the long term. Keywords: educational dialogue, emotional regulation, kairos, opportunity, philosophical inquiry.

Abstract Background Behcet’s disease is an auto immune disease with multisystem affection, the most common manifestations are in the form of oral or genital ulcers, eye affection, recurrent thrombosis . Behcet’s disease is a chronic disease with many sequelae, sometimes fatal, the treatment is by immunosuppressive therapy which also had its implications on the long term, unfortunately it has no sure diagnostic tests and relies mainly on clinical criteria, there are few scores to assess behcet’s disease activity (Behcet's Disease Current Activity Form) BDCAF score is a reliable follow up tool with wide accreditation. BD can virtually involve any organ system, cardiac involvement is variable and sought to occur in the range of 7-46% of patients and may cause myocardial infarction, pericarditis, valve problems, aneurysms or congestive heart failure. Different types of vessels, predominantly veins, can be affected in BD. The frequency of vascular lesions in BD, such as superficial and deep venous thromboses, arterial aneurysms and occlusions, ranges between 7-29%. Aims To assess cardiovascular manifestations for patient diagnosed as Behçet disease (BD) and its correlation to disease activity. Methods This was a cross sectional study which was done on 40 Behcet’s disease patients within the year 2019, it was done for the assessment of cardiovascular manifestations for patient diagnosed as Behçet disease (BD) and its correlation with BDCAF score (Behcet’s disease current activity form). The study group was subjected to full history, clinical examination including activity which was assessed according to BDCAF score (BEHCET'S DISEASE CURRENT ACTIVITY FORM), Assessment of any activity regarding the eyes using fundus examination, routine laboratory investigations including Complete blood count (CBC), Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), Creactive protein (CRP), lipid profile, liver enzymes. Results it was found that there is a positive correlation between BDCAF (behcet's disease current activity form) and cardiovascular affection (especially valvular lesions and vascular venous affection).

Active transposable elements (TEs) have drawn more attention as they continue to create new insertions and contribute to genetic diversity of the genome. However, only a few have been discovered in rice up to now, and their activities are mostly induced by artificial treatments (e.g., tissue culture, hybridization etc.) rather than under normal growth conditions. To systematically survey the current activity of TEs in natural rice accessions and identify rice accessions carrying highly active TEs, the transposon insertion polymorphisms (TIPs) profile was used to identify singleton insertions, which were unique to a single accession and represented the new insertion of TEs in the genome. As a result, 10,924 high-confidence singletons from 251 TE families were obtained, covering all investigated TE types. The number of singletons varied substantially among different superfamilies/families, perhaps reflecting distinct current activity. Particularly, eight TE families maintained potentially higher activity in 3,000 natural rice accessions. Sixty percent of rice accessions were detected to contain singletons, indicating the extensive activity of TEs in natural rice accessions. Thirty-five TE families exhibited potentially high activity in at least one rice accession, and the majority of them showed variable activity among different rice groups/subgroups. These naturally active TEs would be ideal candidates for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying the transposition and activation of TEs, as well as investigating the interactions between TEs and the host genome.
