Abstract This paper proposes a two-point approximation approach to determining aircraft aerodynamic force coefficients, and compares it to the traditional methods. A variational concept is used to conduct aircraft flight trials for the maximal duration of quasi-horizontal flights. The advantages of the described optimization theories are demonstrated, in terms of aviation fuel gas savings. The results of a numerical example are presented.

Fixed points of monotone α -nonexpansive and generalized β -nonexpansive mappings have been approximated in Banach space. Our purpose is to approximate the fixed points for the above mappings in hyperbolic space. We prove the existence and convergence results using some iteration processes.

In this paper, we establish strong and Δ convergence results for mappings satisfying condition B γ , μ through a newly introduced iterative process called JA iteration process. A nonlinear Hadamard space is used the ground space for establishing our main results. A novel example is provided for the support of our main results and claims. The presented results are the good extension of the corresponding results present in the literature.

Given the mutual information of finite-alphabet inputs cannot be calculated concisely and accurately over fading channels, this paper proposes a new method to calculate the mutual information. First, the applicability of the saddle point method is studied, and then the mutual information is estimated by the saddle point approximation method with known channel state information. Furthermore, we induce the expectation of mutual information over doubly correlated multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) Rayleigh fading channels. The validity of the saddle point approximation method is verified by comparing the numerical results of the Monte Carlo method and the saddle point approximation method under different doubly correlated MIMO fading channel scenarios.
