Abstract Tin oxide (SnO2) and doped with various concentrations of copper oxide (CuO) of (3, 5, and 7%) nanoparticles were synthesized via a simple, cost-effective, and nontoxic ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technique on glass substrates. Crystalline structure, surface morphology of the SnO2 pure and SnO2:CuO, films have been studied by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Atomic Force Microscope (AEM) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The effect of CuO doping on the electrical properties of SnO2 films was investigated using Hall effect measurments. The optical properties of the prepared films have been characterized by Ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer. High distribution densily and good growth SnO2 and SnO2: CuO nanoparticles on the substrate with an average particles size ranged from 30 to 110 nm. The crystalling and grain size were changed according to the CuO doping ratio. There is a redshift within the UV-Vis spectra was observed with an increasing CuO ratio of (3, 5 and 7%)

Today, even though exist a Titanium Nitride Oxide, TiNOX, a very good commercial solar absorber, the efforts to develop new and better solar absorbers like TiNOX are continuing in several laboratories all over the world. In this article, we used the ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technique to prepare manganese, Mn, Mn-doped α-Fe2O3 dark thin films deposited on titanium substrates. The results of an analysis of the solar absorptance and thermal emittance of these films are also presented here; the optical properties depend of the proportions of Mn and iron, Fe, in the spray solution and of the deposit temperature. The best solar absorptance (0.94) and thermal emittance (0.07) values of the films prepared at 600 °C for iron and manganese ion with concentrations of 0.0015 and 0.0035 mol/l, respectively, are comparable with the optical properties of the Titanium Nitride oxide, TiNOX, a very common commercial solar absorber used as an efficient coating for flat plate solar collectors industry.

In the present study, ZnxSn1-xS (x = 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1) thin film samples were deposited by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technique on glass substrates at 350°C to investigate the effect of variation of Zn concentration (x) on the structural, morphological, optical and electrical properties of ZnxSn1-xS thin films. The films were deposited by varying Zn content in the starting solution. The films deposited were found to be amorphous having root mean square (RMS) roughness ranged from 18.2 to 93.5 nm. The optical characterization by UV-Vis spectroscopy showed that the transmittance and reflectance of all samples are lower than 12.2 % and 10 % respectively. The optical band gap was estimated from the reflectance and transmittance spectra are about 3.86 eV. The carrier mobility is ranged from 113 to 2600 cm2/v.s.
