An Android/iOS application for low-cost mobile devices to aid in dental diagnosis through questionnaire and photos is presented in this paper. The main purposes of our app lie in the ease of use even for nonexperienced users, in the limited hardware requirements that allow a wide diffusion, and in the possibility to modify the questionnaire for different pathologies. This tool was developed in about a month at the beginning of the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic and is still in use in Italy to allow support to patients without going to the hospital, if not strictly necessary.

Abstract Nowadays, mobile applications are developed for more and more areas, providing great help for our everyday lives. When designing a mobile application, the first important decision to make is to choose the targeted platform. Is it only phone or tablet as well? Should the app run on Android or iOS, or should it be available on both mobile operating systems? In the latter case, besides the native development environments, it is worth considering a cross-platform development environment to write the software. This study investigates both the development and performance aspects of some possibilities for iOS application development, namely, native iOS development in Xcode, Xamarin.iOS, and Xamarin.Forms frameworks.

The paper concerns a comparison of SwiftUI and UIKit frameworks, used in iOS application development. SwiftUI was introduced in 2019 as a successor to UIKit as a main tool for creating application views. The purpose of this article is to compare the time performance of these two frameworks. Six testing applications have been implemented for the research, 2 in each framework. The software was complementary. The defined thesis "SwiftUI is more time efficient for applications with data collection and many filled text fields" was proved.

Communication is the part and parcel of everyone. In organizations including educational institu-tions, Group communication is a common phenomenon. This type of communication happens between employees of the same team or organization, students of the same course or department, etc. Many mobile applications provide a group communication facility. However, the privacy of users is often compromised. For instance, in the WhatsApp Group, the mobile numbers are visible to every recipient. That is not always desirable. So, in this paper, a cloud-based iOS application is proposed for group communication in which the contact numbers are not visible. The administrator will control the read and write access to the recipients. Even, the identification label of the users inside the chat screen will be decided by the administrator. The application is coded in Swift. Cloud FireStore, one of the tools of the Firebase is used as the database and Firebase SDK is integrated with the code using CocoaPods.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the main aspects of designing a system for detecting and cleaning a room from harmful gases. The functional and schematic diagram of the system is proposed, the algorithm of the device functioning is analyzed. The features of the ThingSpeak Internet of Things platform and the interaction of the platform with the designed device are considered. The description of the mobile iOS application that communicates with the designed device through the ThingSpeak platform is given.

As people age and engage with life, many people drop the commitments in things which become like a routine that they go on with There are many patients forget to take their treatment on time, while some of them take the treatment but in irregular schedules, which reduces the effectiveness of the treatment. The method of reminding patients their schedules by the nurse for the elderly and sitter kids is not considered a successful solution in some cases, because it relies on another person, who may probably omit or forgets the exact time. With the proliferation of smartphones, it requires a technology solution to help patients in determining medication schedules accurately and make them more controlling on taking their medication.             This paper proposed an application running on the iPhone connecting with smart drawers through the Arduino Board. The primary purpose of this application is to organize and remind patients to take their medicines on the accurate time. Drawers can be opened and closed through the application.
