The objectives of this research are 1) to analyze the confirmatory factors performance standards and conduct standards of teachers who have been certified through the Teachers' Council of Professional Knowledge Standards training 2) to study the level of compliance with performance standards and conduct standards, and 3) to study the development guidelines according to performance standards and conduct standards. The samples consisted of 348 persons who passed the teachers' professional knowledge training standard of the Teachers Council of Thailand by Multi-Stage Random Sampling. The instruments used to collect data are: quality-validated questionnaires from experts and try out before use. Analyze data with Second-Order Confirmatory Factor Analysis, S.D., and Content Analysis. The results of the research were as follows: 1) The second-order confirmatory factors analysis on performance standards showed that the model was consistent with the empirical data. It shows that the performance standard consisted of 12 factors. In terms of conduct standards, it found that the model was consistent with the empirical data additionally. It showed that the standard of conduct consisted of 5 factors. 2) Compliance with overall performance standards is at a high level and conduct standards are at a very high level. 3) There are seven development guidelines according to performance standards and six guidelines for development according to the conduct standards which the experts have approved.

AbstractBackgroundDesire thinking is a voluntary cognitive process that involves the perseverative focus on memories, images and information related to a desired target. The aim of the present study was to validate the Hebrew version of the Desire Thinking Questionnaire (DTQ; Caselli & Spada, 2011) in a sample of adolescents and to investigate its relationship with measures of thought suppression, impulsivity and individual-based compulsive sexual behaviour.MethodsIn Study 1, a convenience sample of 718 adolescents completed the newly translated Desire Thinking Questionnaire in Hebrew (DTQ-H) and results were subjected to an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). In Study 2, a convenience sample of 379 adolescents completed a battery of questionnaires including the DTQ-H. A Confirmatory Factors Analysis was performed on the DTQ-H and validity was ascertained by correlating with other measures.ResultsIn Study 1, a 9-item two-factor structure was identified. A 6-item two-factor structure was confirmed in Study 2. Results also indicated that the DTQ-H has acceptable levels of reliability, and good concurrent and incremental validity in predicting compulsive sexual behaviour.ConclusionsThe 6-item DTQ-H appears to be a reliable and valid measure of desire thinking and may be used also on adolescents – an understudied population.

Despite the Nigerian government's efforts to provide affordable housing to the country's low and medium-income groups, the efforts have not yielded the desired results. These have led individuals, families, and organisations to supply housing either on their own or on a rental basis. Although several scholars have attempted to investigate the problem, none has found a realistic solution. Only a few scholars have also used the confirmatory factor analysis to investigate and isolate and the critical factors influencing housing production and supply to the low and medium-income groups in the country. This research attempts to bridge this gap. Ekiti, Lagos and Oyo States were used as case study for the research. Two hundred and ten (210) survey questionnaires were administered on real estate developers using the purposive sampling technique. The data was analysed in SPSS. The study revealed that land accessibility, funding and demographics were found to be the significant factors influencing the supply of low and medium-income housing in the study area. The study recommends direct government intervention in housing supply in favour of an enabling environment for the housing sector in the country

This study aims to identify indicator variables that can measure organizational transparency variables, work discipline and service quality to public trust in administering residence documents of the Department of Population of Jambi City. The research used Confirmation Factor Analysis method. This study found that Chi-square, RMSEA, GFI, NFI, CFI, IFI, RMR models have moderate fit. This means that organizational transparency, work discipline and service quality affect public confidence in the demographic document service of Jambi residence. The results of this study can be used as a consideration and evaluation of demographic document services for the community for improvement and increased public confidence in the future.

The purpose of the study is to identify the risk factors that predict online gaming addiction based on psychological factors. A sample of 150 respondents, who play online games or played in the past, were the respondents. Structured questionnaire is used to understand gaming behavior and other psychological factors. The following factors were found to be a predictor of online gaming addiction: emotional dependence, social withdrawal, detachment from other activities, and long hours spent playing games. Confirmatory factors analysis was used to identify critical factors and discriminant analysis was used to classify respondents as active and non-active online gamer based on their level of addiction and time spent in playing. The result shows a significant gap in the perception of active and non-active gamers with respect to the above-mentioned factors. The study brings valuable insights to medical practitioners and researchers in the context of defining problematic gaming behaviour.

With complex models becoming increasingly popular in the social sciences, many researchers have begun using latent variable modeling in multiple-steps, saving, estimating, or otherwise extracting factor scores from one confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) for use in a second inferential analysis. With two or more factors identified in a CFA, there exist few practical guidelines as to how researchers should proceed. In Study 1, we examine two common practices when CFAs have two or more factors. Some researchers estimate each factor orthogonally, fitting a separate CFAs to each, while others allow factors to correlate in the model used for extraction. We provide a simulation study measuring the bias introduced in each of the two approaches. Study 1 demonstrates the extent to which between-factor correlations are generally underestimated when factors are estimated in separate CFAs, and overestimated when factors are allowed to correlate. In Study 2, we demonstrate that this bias can be mitigated through the use of a different estimator. Ten Berge estimation shows near zero bias on the critical correlations between factors. Finally, we demonstrate this with an example dataset, advise researchers against the practice of factor score extraction without using Ten Berge methods, and encourage researchers to interpret previous findings using such methods with caution.

Abstract The principle of service is at the heart of the academic service-learning of the Institute of Vocational Education, Bangkok, in Thailand. Therefore, the confirmatory factors of this academic service-learning were studied. The purpose of the research is to study the factors of academic service-learning principles. The results of the analysis of the confirmatory factors of the academic service-learning principles and the professions of the Institute of Vocational Education, Bangkok, were consistent with the empirical evidence. After the standard factors were considered, it was found that there were 5 confirmatory factors:; the principle of trustworthiness, the principle of confidence, the principle of instant response, the principle of regard, and the principle of objectiveness. The values of the factors were 0.84, 0.92, 0.90, 0.92, and 0.89, respectively. The statistical significance of all factors was .05
