In this paper, we are concerned with the oscillation of solutions to a class of third-order nonlinear neutral dynamic equations on time scales. New oscillation criteria are presented by employing the Riccati transformation and integral averaging technique. Two examples are shown to illustrate the conclusions.

AbstractOur objective in this paper is to study the oscillatory and asymptotic behavior of the solutions of third-order neutral differential equations with damping and distributed deviating arguments. New oscillation criteria are established, which are based on a refinement generalized Riccati transformation. An important tool for this investigation is the integral averaging technique. Moreover, we provide an example to illustrate the main results.

In this article, we prove some new oscillation theorems for fourth-order differential equations. New oscillation results are established that complement related contributions to the subject. We use the Riccati technique and the integral averaging technique to prove our results. As proof of the effectiveness of the new criteria, we offer more than one practical example.

The motivation for this paper is to create new Philos-type oscillation criteria that are established for third-order mixed neutral differential equations with distributed deviating arguments. The key idea of our approach is to use the triple of the Riccati transformation techniques and the integral averaging technique. The established criteria improve, simplify and complement results that have been published recently in the literature. An example is also given to demonstrate the applicability of the obtained conditions.

The aim of this work is to investigate the oscillation of solutions of higher-order nonlinear differential equations with a middle term. By using the integral averaging technique, Riccati transformation technique and comparison technique, several oscillatory properties are presented that unify the results obtained in the literature. Some examples are presented to demonstrate the main results.

This manuscript is concerned with the oscillatory properties of 4th-order differential equations with variable coefficients. The main aim of this paper is the combination of the following three techniques used: the comparison method, Riccati technique and integral averaging technique. Two examples are given for applying the criteria.

The main purpose of this manuscript is to show asymptotic properties of a class of differential equations with variable coefficients r ν w ‴ ν β ′ + ∑ i = 1 j q i ν y κ g i ν = 0 , where ν ≥ ν 0 and w ν : = y ν + p ν y σ ν . By using integral averaging technique, we get conditions to ensure oscillation of solutions of this equation. The obtained results improve and generalize the earlier ones; finally an example is given to illustrate the criteria.

This work is concerned with the oscillatory behavior of solutions of even-order neutral differential equations. By using Riccati transformation and the integral averaging technique, we obtain a new oscillation criteria. This new theorem complements and improves some known results from the literature. An example is provided to illustrate the main results.

Abstract The present paper focuses on the oscillation of the third-order nonlinear neutral differential equations with damping and distributed delay. The oscillation of the third-order damped equations is often discussed by reducing the equations to the second-order ones. However, by applying the Riccati transformation and the integral averaging technique, we give an analytical method for the estimation of Riccati dynamic inequality to establish several oscillation criteria for the discussed equation, which show that any solution either oscillates or converges to zero. The results make significant improvement and extend the earlier works such as (Zhang et al. in Appl. Math. Lett. 25:1514–1519 2012). Finally, some examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained oscillation results.
