Poverty and unemployment remain the main issue in India. These issues are mostly found in rural areas. The Government of India has been formulating various programs for rural growth and poverty eradication. One such programmed is the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), a successful program in promoting gender equality, empowering women, and creating long-lasting infrastructure in rural areas providing employment. The study was conducted in the Kaithal district of Haryana covering a sample of 100 beneficiaries. The collected data has been analyzed using simple frequency and percentage analysis, descriptive analysis, and correlation analysis. The results have revealed that the program was successful in empowering the women of the district.

Founded in 2003 the Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair (ONAYLF) has become one of the largest gatherings of Native American language learners in the United States. The Fair is unquestionably the most significant and sustained interaction with Native American communities in the history of the Sam Noble Museum, quickly becoming a signature event that contributes to the museum’s reputation and stature. As the Fair gained increased prominence and importance in the Native American communities of Oklahoma and the surrounding regions it was consistently marginalized within the institutional culture of the museum. Over the course of our respective leadership of the ONAYLF we encountered the continued need for anthropological intervention to “re-institutionalize” a very successful program. In this report we focus on specific impacts of this failed ownership and the anthropological methods employed to address them. We conclude with an assessment of the ONAYLF in terms of on-going efforts to decolonize museum practice.

Summary Introduction Nurses are the linchpin of any Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program, as they are in direct contact with patients and various caregivers. The aim of the present survey was to assess ERAS key factors and challenges from a nurse’s perspective. Methods A qualitative study among ERAS dedicated nurses and ERAS Interactive Audit System (EIAS) administrators using an online questionnaire (Survey Monkey®, Palo Alto, CA, United States) comprising 29 questions. The survey focused on challenges and drawbacks encountered during ERAS training, implementation and daily clinical practice. Closed multiple-choice and open-end questions and semantic differential scales (0–10) were used. Those invited to participate received three reminders within 4 and 8 weeks after invitation. Results Of 306 nurses invited, 123 completed the survey (response rate 40%). Overall, the success of the institutional ERAS program was rated as 6.9 ± 2/10. Improving both patient outcomes (90%) and satisfaction (69%) were rated as main motivators for ERAS implementation, while time restraints (50%) and logistics (43%) were identified as the main barriers. The study revealed a wide heterogeneity in coordination and management strategies (ERAS meetings, work models, teaching strategies). Sustained staff education before (9.1/10) and after (9.1/10) implementation, a dedicated ERAS coordinator (8.9/10) and regular meetings (8.3/10 scale) were rated as key factors for a successful program. Difficulty of implementation, maintenance and data acquisition were all rated > 5/10. Conclusion Despite heterogeneity in coordination and management, the ERAS program is evaluated as successful from a nurse’s perspective. Continuous staff education and coordination beyond the implementation period appear to be of the utmost importance for a sustained program.

A mixed-methods study including 22 Sino-Nova Scotian school principals in China has established that preparation for leadership in that context requires the consideration of many salient factors. While many North American standards of leadership are an important foundation, effective communication within the multidimensional system is of paramount importance. It was also found that, in order to administer a successful program, principals needed to build stronger social support systems for their teachers and further create a community of practice that included cultural sensitivity and understanding.

Globally, childhood tuberculosis constitutes up to 10% of overall tuberculosis cases. In Nepal, childhood tuberculosis has remained around 5.5% of overall tuberculosis cases and has remained stagnant over the years. Moreover, our health system is focused on adult tuberculosis. Childhood tuberculosis has recently got its attention both at the national and international levels. National Tuberculosis Program has been a successful program; however, more has to be done to track childhood tuberculosis progress. In this viewpoint, we discuss current initiatives taken by the government and the way forward for case detection and management of childhood tuberculosis in Nepal.

The purpose of this narrative inquiry was to explore the story of a secondary ensemble teacher who experienced burnout and chose to remain in the profession. Eleanor and I met for three semistructured interviews and two observations. I used Clandinin and Connelly’s three-dimensional inquiry space as a framework for this study. Narrative analysis revealed that Eleanor experienced symptoms of burnout during a first teaching position that was a poor fit for her. Her passion and enthusiasm for teaching were reignited during a period of long-term music substitute teaching in a successful program surrounded by a supportive community. The importance of recognizing burnout, finding support systems, and identifying hegemonic assumptions about teaching emerged as critical points in Eleanor’s narrative. This arc became visible through narratively coding the field texts, and thoroughly reviewing data obtained from interviews and observations.

The object of the research of the paper is to design a reference model of an unmanned aircraft according to the model of the training jet Aero L 39. The work contains an analysis of the methods, procedures and typology used in the creation of reference models. Subsequently, the design of an unmanned vehicle was created using computer modelling, which was subjected to aerodynamic simulations and strength analysis. Aerodynamic performance was investigated on the airframe of the aircraft and strength analyses were determined on specific structural elements. After successful program tests, a functional model of the aircraft was built. The prerequisite was mainly aerodynamic analyses, which should determine with sufficient accuracy the basic structure of the model's flight. The result of solving the problem is a functional model of the aircraft, which is suitable for flight tests using appropriate hardware.
