The Center for Biological Diversity conducted a paid, self-selected, national online survey on the knowledge, attitudes, behavioural intentions and norms around population growth to inform a theory of change that highlights education and reproductive healthcare as solutions. We surveyed 899 people across the US. The sample was recruited via MTurk and Survey Monkey was used to collect the data. Results were segmented by demographics to assist in building culturally sensitive, inclusive and effective campaigns advocating for rights-based solutions to population growth. Results demonstrated that the public draws a correlation between the number of people on the planet and the alarming rate of animal extinction.

Abstract Objective: To identify factors associated with the adoption of non-pharmacological preventive measures against covid-19 by healthcare workers within their families. Method: This is an analytical cross-sectional study carried out from October 1st to December 31st, 2020, with 11,513 healthcare workers in Brazil. Data collection through a virtual questionnaire on the platform Survey Monkey. To characterize the participants, descriptive statistical analysis was used with measures of absolute and relative frequency. Using inferential statistics, independent variables and outcome were compared, with hypothesis tests for association (chi-square, Fisher’s exact test), logistic regression, and Woe analysis. A significance level of 95% was used. Results: Most workers used measures such as hand hygiene, environmental sanitation, food hygiene, use of fabric masks, and physical distancing from family members. The association among variables was significant for the region, especially the South region, female sex, and nursing professionals. Conclusion: Healthcare workers adopt preventive measures against covid-19 within family life, especially the women and nursing professionals, with family isolation being the measure of greatest adherence.

Purpose:  To assess national endophthalmitis prophylaxis practice patterns during phacoemulsification surgery in Pakistan. Study Design:  Cross sectional survey. Place and Duration of Study:  Eye units registered with the British Pakistani Ophthalmic Society (BPOS) between September and November 2020. Methods:  A survey-based cross sectional study was conducted in Pakistan between September and November 2020. A proforma was designed using a survey client (Survey Monkey) and distributed to the eye units registered with the British Pakistani Ophthalmic Society (BPOS). The survey explored demographic factors, current antibiotic prophylaxis practice during cataract surgery and audit practice in Pakistan. Results:  A total of 339 respondents completed the survey. The survey was representative of ophthalmic surgeons working in the major provinces of Pakistan. A small majority of ophthalmic surgeons provided some form of routine antibiotic prophylaxis (n = 140, 53.8%). Povidone iodine 5% (PVP-I) solution on skin and in the conjunctival sac proved the most popular protocol (n = 163, 66.3%). This was followed by immediate postoperative topical antibiotics (n = 101, 41.1%). Intracameral antibiotic prophylaxis accounted for less than half of current antibiotic practice during cataract surgery in Pakistan (n=99, 40.3%). Most of the respondents did not conduct any audit regarding endophthalmitis (n = 119, 55.6%). Conclusion:  Our survey provides an up-to-date view on the state of antibiotic prophylaxis during cataract surgery in Pakistan and highlights several areas for improvement. This includes policy changes to increase adherence to gold standard antibiotic prophylaxis guidelines, improvement in transparency of surgical outcomes and to audit current postoperative outcomes. Key Words:  Acute postoperative endophthalmitis, Surgical wound infection, Antibiotic, Cataract, Pakistan.

To understand the management of diabetic foot complications by the Diabetic Foot Research India (DFRI) members during the lockdown period. An online survey link was created in “Survey Monkey", and the link was sent to all the members of Diabetic Foot Research India (DFRI) who are staying in different parts of India and data were collected from May 2020 to June 2020. The survey included questions on the type of consultation they provided to their patients, management of a patient with an active foot ulcer, and the various difficulties encountered by the doctors during the lockdown. A total of 33 diabetologists from all over the country participated in this survey. Among them, 26 doctors had attended to active diabetic foot infection at the time of the online survey. Almost three fourth of the (n = 24; 72.7%) doctors recorded difficulties during the inpatient consultations. Difficulty in regular follow-ups, the facility's workforce shortage was reported to be a significant concern. In managing active foot ulcer cases, 15 doctors (45.5%) opted for in-person consultation in their hospital as they felt the infection cannot be handled over a tele-consultation. Amputation was not performed by 78.7% of doctors, 15% (n = 5) of the doctors performed less than five amputations, and 6% (n = 2) of the doctors performed more than five amputations during the lockdown period. In the case of SMBG (Self-monitoring blood glucose) values, the regularity of patients reporting the values varied significantly. Only 8 (24.2%) doctors reported that 75% of their patients regularly shared their SMBG values while all the others mentioned that their patients were not performing SMBG regularly. Most of the physicians were able to manage the diabetic foot complications by tele-consultation during the lockdown and only a few asked the patients to get hospitalized for surgical intervention. All doctors should recommend SMBG to continuously monitor patients’ blood glucose levels and prevent complications of hyperglycemia, particularly during pandemic situations.

In this article, we view epistemological access as organising systematic teaching and learning, and we focus on teaching and learning online during COVID-19 pandemic conditions in 2020. We used a Survey Monkey questionnaire with two universities in South Africa that moved their teaching and learning online to survey whether lecturers thought that the extent of epistemological access was affected when this happened. Our findings indicate that lecturers feel that the emergency teaching and learning did compromise their teaching, and, while most used existing face-to-face materials online, and some changed the content when they went online, they changed the assessment formats. We argue that these changes, although understandable given pandemic conditions, did not necessarily constitute the kind of carefully designed, paced, sequenced, and assessed online teaching and learning that also enhances epistemological access. We indicate that if one is to accept that the so-called new normal in education will largely be online, then the quality assurance of online teaching and learning will become unavoidable.

COVID - 19 caused a lot of economic, political and social conflicts to all world populations and states. Many researches to explored the impacts of COVID - 19 on these perspectives. However, few if any were focused to measure the shift in moral models adopted due to this pandemic. This paper targets to explore the moral shifts in these models as a result of moral disengagement caused by the pandemic. The impacts on total performance, reputation, present and future image of operations and the role of accumulated experience to mitigate these impacts are also in focus. A questionnaire tool built in five -point Likert scale was distributed and 202 forms were validated via Survey Monkey. Online ANOVA, percentages and Pearson correlation were used. Conclusions indicate the importance of accumulated experience to limit immoral decisions resulting from disengagement. Findings also show strong correlations among disengagement and reputation and present and future image of the business.

Background:  In late December 2019, COVID-19, commonly referred to as the Coronavirus was identified in China because of the main explanation for recent human respiratory health cases. The virus was first detected in Wuhan City, and during a space of months, it had covered the whole globe. The virus has engendered huge drastic changes to world healthcare, economic, transportation, and education systems around the world. Purpose: The general purpose of this study was to investigate the intersection of demographic characteristics and how truck drivers view change in their grocery shopping (CGS) under the COVID-19 circumstances of selected counties in Alabama. Specifically, the objectives of the study are to (1) examine if there is any relationship between marital status (MS) and CGS and (2) know and assess the choice of transport mode used for grocery shopping during the covid-19 pandemic Methods: The research paper's goal necessitated the truck drivers’ views regarding commuting to the workplace. Following a summary of the literature review research phase, the researcher conducted a variety of semi-structured interviews with truck drivers in Alabama through Survey Monkey by a postgraduate student in June-July 2020. Overall, 50 truck drivers have completed the survey. The info was stored on Survey Monkey servers within the Center for Urban and Rural Research (CURR), Department of Community and Regional Planning, Alabama A&M University. Results: The data analysis reveals their main workplace before the COVID-19 pandemic 94% of the truck drivers residing in Alabama especially from Jefferson county provided information about commuting to workplaces, while 4% to the places of educations (lecture room0 and a couple of production sites. Furthermore, 92% of the truck drivers reported NO change within the means of transport in commuting trips during the COVID-19 pandemic, while 8% indicated changes within the means of transport. Implications: This research paper contributes important new empirical analysis of the truck drivers’ views regarding commuting to the workplace under the COVID-19 pandemic to some extent where there's an abundance of conceptual papers and opinion pieces but still scant evidence on the particular road safety of the pandemic for researchers to think about on potential person and situation factors related to COVID-19 that would affect road safety during and after the pandemic. Collaborative efforts by researchers and public and personal sectors are going to be needed to collect data and develop truck drivers' road safety strategies in reference to the new reality of COVID-19. Keywords: COVID‐19, health disparities, roadway safety, syndemics, truck driver

Abstract Background The COVID-19 pandemic has led to changes in clinical practice, including a significant increase in the use of telehealth (TH). We sought to assess the impact of the pandemic on the use and perceptions of TH by pediatric infectious diseases (PID) clinicians. Figure 1. Modalities Figure 2. Comfort Methods The PIDS* Telehealth Working Group developed a 26-question online survey to assess telehealth practices among PID clinicians. The survey was available via Survey Monkey® from 12/6/2020-2/26/2021 to members of PIDS, PICNIC*, AAMI and AAP*. Clinicians in active practice in North America were included in the analysis. Figure 3. Platforms Figure 4. Barriers Results The response rate was 10% (n=253) of 2,550 PID clinicians. Physicians accounted for 98.4% of the cohort. The remaining 1.6% were allied health professionals. 81 survey respondents (32%) were in 4 US states (CA, TX, OH and NY) and the province of Quebec. 62.8% of respondents were women, 37% of respondents were 36-45 years old, with 42.7% devoting about 50-99% of their time to direct patient care. TH usage increased during the pandemic with the most gain in provider-patient communications with 65.6% increase for synchronous and 22.1% for asynchronous TH (Figure 1). Gains in provider-provider TH were less than 20%. Respondents reported a 6-fold gain in comfort with TH usage versus pre-pandemic level (Figure 2). Most respondents report being satisfied with their current platform and modality. Once the COVID-19 waivers expire, 70% of respondents plan to continue using TH. The most common TH modality used was an EMR-integrated TH platform (Figure 3). The main perceived barriers to TH adoption were lack of complete physical examination (73.7%), dealing with new technology (21.5%), and insufficient reimbursement (20.8%) (Figure 4). Conclusion The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a significant increase in the use of TH by PID specialists versus pre-pandemic usage. Respondents gained comfort with use of different telehealth modalities during the pandemic. This data can help clinicians and organizations in planning and resource allocation for telehealth programs in a post-pandemic environment. Disclosures All Authors: No reported disclosures

In the last decade, published data on the performance of Colombian students have concerned educators and researchers, making critical reading one of the priorities of Colombian education. That is why this article presents the results of a study carried out in a Latin American university in which the perceptions of students and professors are analyzed regarding the strategies and textual genres used to work and cross-evaluate the advanced reading comprehension (ARC). This study is materialized in the application of an ad hoc online questionnaire, in its two versions (students and teachers), designed through Survey Monkey. For this, it has the participation of 182 teachers and 2,775 students. There are several trends in the use of specific textual strategies and typologies to work and evaluate ARC, by both, depending on the department of assignment. The evidence found is provided and evaluated considering the implications for cross-curricular instruction and assessment in higher education in Latin America, including study limitations and prospects for overcoming them.
