PurposeThe process of supply chain digitalization (SCD) through enterprise and inter-enterprise information systems (EIIS) is a challenging task. Understanding and studying barriers of SCD adopting EIIS are essential for better management of supply chains (SCs) in the long run. This paper analyses the key EIIS adoption barriers affecting the process of SCD.Design/methodology/approach Fifteen key EIIS barriers of SCD in the context of an electronic SC were identified from existing literature and in consultation with experts from industry and academia. Grey-based decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) methodology is used to identify cause–effect relationship and extent of the strength of relationship amongst EIIS barriers. Sensitivity analysis is done to verify the robustness of the study.Findings EIIS barriers were classified into seven major cause factors and eight effect factors. This study provides a structural framework of key EIIS adoption barriers to decision makers by classifying barriers into cause and effect groups for effective SCD and better management.Originality/value This study contributes to SC literature by exploring key EIIS barriers affecting the process of SCD. These findings will also help the practitioners in effective decision making for digitalization.

PurposeThis study aims to investigate the impact of firms' information system management capabilities on competitive performance for achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs). It also examines the moderating effects of multi-sensory stimuli capability on firms' competitive performance.Design/methodology/approachDrawing upon the resource base and dynamic capability view as the overarching theoretical framework, this research conducted an empirical study among manufacturing and services enterprise employees. This study applied multiple cross-sectional surveys for data collection. A total of 241 usable data were obtained and explained through structural equation modelling (SEM).FindingsThe statistical results explore that variables under their respective direct relationship are positively and significantly influence. Interestingly, firms information system management capability has a relatively large magnitude of positive and direct effects on the competitive performance of firms' that complement on achieving firms SDGs and coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the multisensory stimulus capability of service firms positively moderates (amplifies) the relationship between marketing information system management capability and competitive performance.Practical implicationsThe proposed research model provides insights into the utilisation of firms information system management capability to achieve competitive performance in their relevant industry. In addition, it deepens the understanding of the contingency effect of using multisensory stimulus capability of firms on competitive performance.Originality/valueTo the best of the authors' knowledge, drawing on the resource-based theory and dynamic capability theory, this study is the first to assess and examine the influence of firms information system management capability on the competitive performance of firms by considering the moderating variables (i.e. multisensory stimulus capability) in context to COVID-19 pandemic by considering the scope of SDGs.

In recent years, Solar power plants are currently developed rapidly, where solar power plants don't cause environmental damage. This generator utilizes sunlight as its input source which environmentally friendly, when sunlight is converted into direct current and voltage that can be stored in batteries. Therefore, the solar energy industry needs to have high efficiency, competitive pricing, and durability. With the right information technologies and developing application systems, it can help to optimize business processes and integrating information systems. But the fact there are many industries that do not apply information technology correctly into their business. In this research, provide to the best solution for applying the enterprise architecture framework correctly. The purpose of this paper is to design a manufacturing industry information system that is in accordance with the business model canvas and enterprise architecture. The design also discusses the development of a large and integrated information system with other systems. The study of Business Model Canvas is a business model that can explain and focus on nine business aspects with a solid strategy. Studies of the ArchiMate core Framework is the framework used to classify elements of the ArchiMate core language. These two methods are expected to be able to design an enterprise information system architecture consisting of business architecture, application architecture, information architecture and technology architecture as a result of the study. The result is a more complete system design to meet system requirements for users, integrated with existing system modules and no system duplication occurs.

With the development of technology, the data stored by humans is growing geometrically. Especially in the logistics industry, the rise of online e-commerce has created a huge data flow in the informatized logistics network. How to collect, analyze, and organize this information in time and analyze the meaning of this information from it is a difficult problem. The paper aims to learn the management of logistics systems from the perspective of statistics. This article uses random analysis of 1,000 customers’ logistics records from the logistics enterprise information system, uses mathematical analysis and matrix theory to analyze the correlation among them, and analyzes customer types and shopping. The information on habits, daily consumption patterns, and brand preferences is classified and summarized using mathematical statistics. The experimental results show that the results of the study can well reflect customers’ daily habits and consumption habits. The experimental data show that mining effective and accurate information from massive information can help companies to quickly make decisions, formulate scientific logistics management programs, improve operating efficiency, reduce operating costs, and obtain good benefits.

As organizations' desire for data grows, so does their search for data sources that are both usable and reliable.Businesses can obtain and collect big data in a variety of locations, both inside and outside their own walls. This study aims to investigate the various data sources for business intelligence. For business intelligence, there are three types of data: internal data, external data, and personal data. Internal data is mostly kept indatabases, which serve as the backbone of an enterprise information system and are known as transactionalsystems or operational systems. This information, however, is not always sufficient. If the company wants toanswer market and industry questions or better understand future customers, the analytics team may need to look beyond the company's own data sources. Organizations must have access to a variety of data sources in order to answer the key questions that guide their initiatives. Internal sources, external public sources, andcollaboration with a big data expert could all be beneficial. Companies who are able to extract relevant datafrom their mountain of data acquire new perspectives on their business, allowing them to become morecompetitive

Cloud enterprise resource planning (Cloud ERP) is an internet- and cloud computing-based enterprise information system developed on the cloud platform. Cloud ERP has lower costs and shorter development time compared with traditional ERP system, but it remains in a state of information isolated island. To maximize the advantages of cloud computing and make up the deficiency of traditional ERP systems, it is necessary to break down the "wall" between enterprises, making cloud ERP enter a more open and interconnected ecological environment. The model-driven development approach contributes to a better resilient scheduling capability of ERP system, leading to faster development and deployment of it. In this article, the authors propose a “knowledge + data” model-driven open ecological cloud ERP and explain the definition and functions of each model layer. Finally, the effectiveness of model layers is demonstrated in the open ecological cloud ERP reference architecture.

PT.XYZ is a gas oil manufacturing company, which produces offshore oil and gas drilling equipment. In supporting its business processes, this company uses a separate module application which causes data flow to be interrupted and results in the company experiencing delays in managing data and getting information on time. Based on the analysis of the problem, the researcher will design an integrated enterprise information system architecture for sales, finance, raw material procurement, production, project plan, and inventory. The method used is the TOGAF ADM 9.2 framework which consists of four phases, namely the vision architecture, business architecture, information system architecture, and technology architecture phases. This enterprise architecture design produces a blueprint as a guideline or framework in the development of information systems at PT. XYZ. The overall result of this research is to produce an enterprise architecture information system design
