The Combo Card is a legacy trunk and subscriber card which provides loop dialing, MAGNETO, FXS, FXO, E&M and SHDSL two wire ports. The Purpose of this Card is to Facilitate Voice and Data Services for the User in Small Deployment. This Module is going to be plugged into Line Card V3 and used in TDM Router. As an FPGA Engineers, Our main Focus is on FPGA part on this SERVICES CARD. We are Using Spartan-6 FPGA in this Project. The Name COMBO CARD isCame into Existence as we are Combining Many Interfaces viz., FXS, FXO, LD, E & M, Magneto, and SHDSL. In this study We are Dealing With Respect to FPGA by Using VHDL and Generating Clock and Sync Pulse 8.192 M Hz Generation for FXO and FXS, SHDSL Control Pin Mapping, Power on Self-Test With Respect to Clock Monitor and Generation of Reset Pulse 300us For all the Devices Connected to FPGA, So, that the Title FPGA Implementation of Power on Self-Test On Services Card Justifies.

Energy consumption of networking infrastructures is growing fast due to the exponential growth of data traffic and the deployment of increasingly powerful equipment. Besides operational costs and environmental impacts, the ever-increasing energy consumption has become a limiting factor to long-term growth of network infrastructures. Operators, vendors and researchers have started to look beyond a single router or line card for network-wide solutions towards energy proportionality. Therefore, Power Aware Networking (PANET) has been proposed to improve network energy efficiency. A PANET-enabled network assumes that only a subset of devices will be involved in traffic forwarding when the network is lightly loaded, so as to improve global energy savings. PANET is introduced in this chapter. Promising solutions for PANET are also exposed. PANET features are also analyzed. The chapter also discusses the challenges and future work that needs to be done.

Targeting assistance to the poor is a central problem in development. We study the problem of designing a proxy means test when the implementing agent is corruptible. Conditioning on more poverty indicators may worsen targeting in this environment because of a novel tradeoff between statistical accuracy and enforceability. We then test necessary conditions for this tradeoff using data on Below Poverty Line card allocation in India. Less eligible households pay larger bribes and are less likely to obtain cards, but widespread rule violations yield a de facto allocation much less progressive than the de jure one. Enforceability appears to matter. (JEL D12, I32, I38, O12, O15)

Simulation based decision support system is one of the commonly used tool to examine complex production systems. The simulation approach provides process modules which can be adjusted with certain parameters by using data relatively easily obtainable in production process. World Line Card production system simulation is developed to evaluate the optimality of existing production line via using discrete event simulation model with variaty of alternative proposals. The current production system is analysed by a simulation model emphasizing the bottlenecks and the poorly utilized production line. Our analysis identified some improvements and efficient solutions for the existing system.
