<p>In view of the limitation of traditional identification, it is easy to lose and copy keys, cards or ID cards, and it is easy to forget the password. Here, an embedded application system was designed based on the iris identification technology, the functions of gathering, inputing, and registering the iris information and identification can be realized. The system architecture was designed by using the embedded microprocessor of advanced RISC machines (ARM), which is used as the core. The iris sensor was used to gather the iris information, and the development of software was accomplished with the embedded OS Windows CE. The system can be used on the company entrance guard system, customs security of airport and criminal identification.</p>

Instrument discovery as defined by the LXI standard implements the VXI-11 instrument discovery protocol. This mechanism allows the user to quickly discover instruments on a local subnet. The paper describes how to implement the auto-discovery RPC server compatible with LXI standard. For better understanding auto discovery process, it starts by introducing the VXI-11 protocol stack and follows with the deep analysis of auto discovery process. Finally, it discusses how to implement the RPC server. The RPC server supports both windows XP and windows CE operating system. The auto-discovery RPC server passes the tests on the Elgar LXI Browser, Agilent IO Library Suite and NI Measurement and Automation Explorer.

This paper describes an implementation and validation result of a interface design for wearable oxygen saturation sensor systems. The system mainly consists of medical sensor module, RS232 module and ARM-based embedded software, the medical sensor module used for receiving, amplifying, filtering the signals of oxygen saturation and pulse in real time,RS232 module implementing serial communication driver and serial data receiver. The part of software is developed by Visual Studio 2005 VC#, adopts Windows CE as its platform which supports multi-threaded, database, communication and instantaneity. The typical characteristics of this system are its portable interface, easy operating way and software scalability.

In order to quickly detect the harmful substances in food, a multiple channel portable food safety detector which can be used in the field test is designed. The detector uses the newly national standards and methods, and the combination of Windows CE Operate System and colorful LED touch screen was adopted in this design, changing the operate tool from mouse to fingers, making the operation much more simple and convenient. The result of experiment shows that the system has the advantage such as easy operating, portable, high performance and high reliability. And it can detect Pesticides residue more quickly and accurately, and the measurement error are between ±2% and ±4%, which meets the national standards and its design require.

Presents mapping rules of a real-time system graphics design model to system calls and C++ application framework under Windows CE platform, based on research and analysis for an abstraction executive of real-time software and Windows CE, including the mapping rules of task, semaphore, interrupt and alarm object. The principles of communication between real-time objects and mapping methods are given.
