Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are at higher risk for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related morbidity and mortality. However, a significant portion of CKD patients showed hesitation toward vaccination in telephone survey of our center. Yet no serial data available on humoral response in patients with CKD, especially those on immunosuppression. We conducted a pilot, prospective study to survey the safety and humoral response to inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine in CKD patients receiving a 2-dose immunization of inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. We found the neutralizing antibody titers in CKD patients was significantly lower than that in healthy controls, hypertension patients, and diabetes patients. Notably, immunosuppressive medication rather than eGFR levels or disease types showed effect on the reduction of immunogenicity. Interestingly, a third dose significantly boosted neutralizing antibody in CKD patients while immunosuppressants impeded the boosting effects. In conclusion, our data demonstrates that CKD patients, even for those on immunosuppression treatment, can benefit from a third vaccination boost by improving their humoral immunity.

Electric vehicles are becoming more demanding these days. In this project the possibility of using Ackerman steering with electric drive servomotor is explained. Scalability is the advantage of using this mechanism which can be adopted for four-wheel vehicle system as well. The objective of this project is to do design a system using Ackerman steering which determines the maximum and minimum angle of the turning of the wheels. It also avoids the front tire slippage and activates pure rolling. Ackermann steering geometry is a geometric arrangement of linkages in the steering of a car or other vehicle designed to solve the problem of wheels on the inside and outside of a turn needing to trace out circles of different radii. The geometrical solution to this is for all wheels to have their axles arranged as radii of circles with a common centre point. As the rear wheels are fixed, this centre point must be on a line extended from the rear axle. Intersecting the axes of the front wheels on this line as well requires that the inside front wheel be turned, when steering, through a greater angle than the outside wheel. The microcontroller used in this project is ATMega16 andlmax232 is used for the serial data transmission.

AbstractUse of inter-pupillary distance (IPD) for objective evaluation of ocular hypertelorism and hypotelorism is recommended to corroborate diagnosis of syndromic conditions. In view of complete absence of serial data on growth of IPD, this study aims to unfold auxological dynamics of IPD in Down syndrome (DS) children of Indian origin. Inner canthal distance (ICD) and outer canthal distance (OCD) were measured on a total of 1,125 (male: 752, female: 373) DS children, aged 0 to 3 months to 10 years at 6 monthly age intervals using a “Digimatic Sliding Caliper” in the Growth Laboratory/Growth Clinic of the Institute. Using Feingold and Bossert (1974) formula, IPD at each age was calculated from ICD and OCD measured among male and female DS children. IPD, like OCD and ICD increased un-interruptedly among DS children. IPD grew rapidly up to 5 years thereafter, its rapidity became slower. Boys in general, possessed larger IPD than girls, however, gender differences became statistically significant up to first 4 years of life. Our study children possessed significantly smaller IPD as compared with their normal Indian counterparts. None of our DS children depicted ocular hypertelorism while hypotelorism, was noticed amongst 4.9% male and 16.8% female DS patients. Comparison with normative IPD data failed to establish existence of ocular hypertelorism in DS children (<10 years) of north-western Indian origin. Use of age and gender-specific data presented for IPD of DS children may be made for comparative purpose to ascertain inter-population variability.

Serial data collection has emerged as a major tool for data collection at state-of-the-art light sources, such as microfocus beamlines at synchrotrons and X-ray free-electron lasers. Challenging targets, characterized by small crystal sizes, weak diffraction and stringent dose limits, benefit most from these methods. Here, the use of a thin support made of a polymer-based membrane for performing serial data collection or screening experiments is demonstrated. It is shown that these supports are suitable for a wide range of protein crystals suspended in liquids. The supports have also proved to be applicable to challenging cases such as membrane proteins growing in the sponge phase. The sample-deposition method is simple and robust, as well as flexible and adaptable to a variety of cases. It results in an optimally thin specimen providing low background while maintaining minute amounts of mother liquor around the crystals. The 2 × 2 mm area enables the deposition of up to several microlitres of liquid. Imaging and visualization of the crystals are straightforward on the highly transparent membrane. Thanks to their affordable fabrication, these supports have the potential to become an attractive option for serial experiments at synchrotrons and free-electron lasers.

Considering the conventional federated filtering-based fault-tolerant integrated navigation system is difficult to be implemented by serial data processing circuits, this paper presents navigation switching strategy-based SINS/GPS/ADS/DVL fault-tolerant integrated navigation system to guarantee the reliability of integrated navigation system under sensor faults. When sensor failure appears, SINS and fault-free sensors are selected successively to form an integrated navigation system, such that reliable navigation parameters can be obtained. The simulation tests are implemented to verify that the SINS/GPS/ADS/DVL integrated navigation system can provide reliable navigation parameters when ADS and DVL are disabled.

Previous computer protection analysis focuses on current data sets that do not have an update and need one-time releases. Serial data publishing on a complex data collection has only a little bit of literature, although it is not completely considered either. They cannot be used against various backgrounds or the usefulness of the publication of serial data is weak. A new generalization hypothesis is developed on the basis of a theoretical analysis, which effectively decreases the risk of re-publication of certain sensitive attributes. The results suggest that our higher anonymity and lower hiding rates were present in our algorithm. Design and Implementation of new proposed privacy preserving technique: In this phase proposed technique is implemented for demonstrating the entire scenario of data aggregation and their privacy preserving data mining. Comparative Production between the proposed technology and the traditional technology for the application of C.45: In this stage, the performance is evaluated  and  a comparative comparison with the standard algorithm for the proposed data mining security model is presented

Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mendesain dan mengimplementasikan perangkat stasiun cuaca berbasis Internet of Things yang dapat memantau parameter cuaca seperti kecepatan angin, arah mata angin, curah hujan, suhu, kelembapan, intensitas cahaya direct dan diffuse. Proses pengambilan data umumnya dilakukan oleh operator dengan cara yang manual. Pengambilan data secara manual memiliki kelemahan diantaranya waktu yang diperlukan untuk pencatatan data, tingkat akurasi data yang rendah akibat human error, dan proses penyimpanan data pada media yang mudah rusak. Sistem akuisisi data dapat dilakukan dengan mengolah data analog dan data digital. Pengiriman data secara digital dapat menggunakan NodeMCU ESP8266 dengan memanfaatkan jaringan nirkabel (wireless). Jaringan internet yang digunakan sangat berpengaruh pada proses pengiriman data. Pada penelitian ini hasil dari pembacaan sensor dikirimkan ke NodeMCU ESP8266 dengan komunikasi serial. Data dari pembacaan sensor dikirimkan oleh NodeMCU ESP8266 kedalam database. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuat perangkat stasiun cuaca yang dapat menyimpan data secara otomatis dengan jeda waktu 60 detik ke database.

AbstractInsect-pollinated plants are essential for honey bees to feed their brood. In agricultural landscapes, honey bees and other pollinators are often exposed to pesticides used for cultivation. In order to gain more insight into the fluctuation of pesticide loads, 102 daily pollen samples were collected between April and July 2018 in a fruit-growing area in Southern Germany. Samples were analyzed with respect to more than 260 pesticides using a multi-residue pesticide analysis method. Almost 90% of the analyzed pollen samples featured between one and thirteen different pesticides. In total, 29 pesticides were detected at maximum concentrations of up to 4500 ng/g pollen. Maximum residual concentrations of most pesticides were observed during April and the first half of May, as well as during the second half of June. In most cases, serial data of pesticide residuals were detected for approximately 10 subsequent days with two or three maximum values, which were several folds higher than concentrations on the days before and thereafter. The pollen hazard quotient (PHQ) was calculated to estimate the risk of the detected pesticides to honey bees and wild pollinators.
