The general perspective of the chapter is focused on discovering marketing knowledge based on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. The question is: “How to do automate processes in the implemented CRM system to discover the knowledge that is useful for marketing?” It is a natural question because the stored data creates a large volume and it is difficult to set up a marketing with hands. This chapter focuses on finding the necessary product specifications to automate the marketing needs this CRM system must offer to be optimal in today's modern global society. The existing controversy is between IT for everyday use, real IT capabilities, human skills, and knowledge to support more complex implemented processes. Emphasis is placed on automation and intelligence. The analysis shows that CRM systems are interested in managing customer relationships in the form of a single agent or process to perform the necessary actions using implemented algorithms that utilize various intelligence, statistical methods, multi-criteria decision-making, and automated learning predictions.

This paper aims to explore the relationship between information technology (IT) capabilities and competitive advantage, with organizational agility as a mediator, in the case of micro, small, and medium enterprises engaged in the fashion industry in Indonesia. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 180 small to medium-sized enterprises in Indonesia’s fashion industry that have used e-commerce platforms to conduct their business activities. The data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS 3.0 software. The study suggests that IT capabilities significantly influence organizational agility and competitive advantage. Therefore, the study can serve as a basis for the Indonesian government to promote digitalization and the use of e-commerce among micro, small, and medium enterprise owners in order to face changes in the market and remain competitive. It can also be beneficial for business owners and managers that aim to increase awareness of the importance of technology in their business operations. The work of this paper deepens the understanding of the relationship between IT capabilities, organizational agility, and competitive advantage, which are becoming increasingly important in the current digitalized and ever-changing business environment. It enriches the literature about micro, small and medium enterprise that is related to their IT capabilities level, how they use it to handle changes and factors that contributes in obtaining competitive advantage.

Digital technology has had changed the uncertain nature of the process of new venture idea generation, and it has also brought unprecedented opportunities for the generation of new digital venture ideas. To explore how startups can deal with major challenges brought by digital technology and create new digital venture ideas, this paper focuses on micro level entrepreneurial actions, and constructs a theoretical model of the relationship among networking capabilities, IT capabilities, prior knowledge and new digital venture ideas. Furthermore, through the hierarchical linear regression analysis of 278 sample data, the paper finds that in the context of digitalization, both networking capabilities and IT capabilities have a positive impact on the generation of new digital venture ideas. In addition, prior knowledge plays an moderating role in the relationship between IT capabilities and new digital venture ideas. This paper explore how startups can build new digital venture ideas in the context of digitalization, which guides small enterprises in responding to new challenges.

Consequently, this study investigates the determinants of acceptance of information technology with the extension of diffusion of innovation theory (DOI) in organizational context. Results showed that compatibility, innovativeness, trust in technology, perceived gap in IT capabilities, employee self-efficacy, and perceived cost advantage explained R^2 79.4%% variance in achieving strategic goal of the firm. The effect size analysis showed that perceived gap in IT capabilities had substantial effect size. Similarly, substantial predictive relevance was found Q^2 58.1%, 15.7% when predicting firm strategic goals and organizational performance respectively.

This study has examined how small and medium enterprises (SMEs) may enhance their performance under different settings of information technology (IT) capabilities and corporate entrepreneurship (CE). Established on the dynamic capability view, the researchers have analyzed the connections between IT capabilities and CE, in addition to the performance results of SMEs. The research has explored these novel relationships by utilizing partial least square-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with a data sample of 447 SMEs of the manufacturing sector in Pakistan. The findings present that IT capabilities positively influence the market and financial performance of SMEs through the mediating role of CE dimensions. The study uniquely determines the mediating role of dimensional effects of corporate entrepreneurship between IT capabilities and performance outcomes of firms. Thus, the study would enable the management of SMEs to realize the potential of IT-related CE dimensions and their use to improve firms’ performance.
