Based on the compound [S- (R*,R*)]-α-[1-(Methylamino)ethyl]benzenemethanol and α-bromocinnamaldehyde, the corresponding 1,3-oxazolidine was synthesized, the structure of which was proved by H NMR spectroscopy, and its effect on the process of electroreduction of oxygen (ER O) in various concentrations. Cathodic voltammetry on a mercury-film electrode, reflecting the amount of reactive oxygen species neutralized by an antioxidant for a certain time, was used as an assessment method. It was shown that an aqueous solution of (4S, 5S)-2-(1'-bromo-2'-phenylvinyl)-3,4-dimethyl-5-phenyl-1,3-oxazolidine exhibits antioxidant activity in a wide range of concentrations.

Dependance of antioxidant activity of the humic macromolecular compounds from their etiology and production method was learned by means of physical-chemical analysis methods – colorimetry with diphenylpicrylhydrazyl (DPPH) as a stable radical, cathodic voltammetry, electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy. 18 native humic acids (HAs) were isolated by extraction from nine typical species of peats of the Tomsk region, that differ from each other by botanical composition, degree of decomposition and ash content. Two extragents were used: sodium hydroxide and sodium pyrophosphate. Although all 18 HAs samples exhibit antioxidant activity. At the same time there is a similar trend in the distribution of antioxidant activity, which is proved by Spearman's correlation analysis. А higher activity was noted for pyrophosphate HAs. Using methods of cathodic voltammetry and colorimetry with DPPH it was found that HAs show antioxidant activity by its mechanism, being a proton donor due to the presence of a large number of phenolic hydroxyls.EPR spectroscopy established that the HAs are traps of free radicals.

The kinetics of iron(III) hydrolysis and precipitation in aqueous glycine solutions were studied by cathodic voltammetry with a mercury drop electrode. The kinetics was controlled by changing ionic strength (I), pH and glycine concentration. Voltammetric measurements clearly showed formation and dissociation of a soluble Fe(III)–glycine complex, formation of iron(III) hydroxide and its precipitation. The rate constants of iron(III) hydroxide precipitation were assessed. The precipitation is first-order with respect to dissolved inorganic iron(III). The calculated rate constants of iron(III) precipitation varied from 0.18 × 10–5 s–1 (at 0.2 M total glycine, pH 7.30, I = 0.6 mol dm–3) to 2.22 × 10–3 s–1 (at 0.1 M total glycine, pH 7.30, I = 0.2 mol dm–3). At 0.5 M total glycine and I = 0.6 mol dm–3, the iron(III) precipitation was not observed.

Oxygen concentration before and after oxygenation and relaxation time were determined by the method of cathodic voltammetry in infusion solutions, such as physiologic solution — 0.9% NaCl, Ringer-Locc’s solution, glucose — 10%, poliglucin, haemodes, oxigenated by 5 athm. pressure. There were given the recommendations for practical usage of oxigenated infusical solutions. The most optimal solutions for the oxygenotherapy are physiologic solution and poliglucin. 12 patients with bronchial asthma were treated with these solutions successfully.
