AbstractConsiderable progress in developing flat-rolled steel grades has been made by the Chinese steel industry over the recent two decades. The increasing demand for high-performance products to be used in infrastructural projects as well as in production of consumer and capital goods has been driving this development until today. The installation of state-of-the-art steel making and rolling facilities has provided the possibility of processing the most advanced steel grades. The production of high-performance steel grades relies on specific alloying elements of which molybdenum is one of the most powerful. China is nearly self-sufficient in molybdenum supplies. This paper highlights the potential and advantages of molybdenum alloying over the entire range of flat-rolled steel products. Specific aspects of steel property improvement with respect to particular applications are indicated.

High quality and low variability in the properties of the products are the main goals in manufacturing. The quality of the product is verified by testing different properties. It can be improved with models developed for event prediction. This paper presents with application examples the modelling steps required for effective process modelling. First, the pre-processing and feature extraction phase are illustrated. The modelling phase concentrates especially on the heteroscedasticity problem that is commonly present in industrial applications. The process monitoring and control parameter optimization based on these models is presented, as well as the solution for the lack of observations for the dependent variable. Many of the developed models are in daily use in different process states in steel industry. They enable the design of new products and the analysis of the effects of different process parameters on variability reduction. The proposed methods are application independent.

Three kinds of shear buckling parameters of corrugated steel web beam under high temperature of fire in different time are analyzed and the high temperature effect on structural steel property is taken into account, the expressions of local buckling parameter, overall buckling parameter and interactive buckling parameter are proposed and their variation trends with the high temperature change are analyzed, a recommendation is proposed in order to provide more accurate predictions for the load-carrying capability status of corrugated steel web beam under high temperature, the buckling parameters variation should be unbiased estimated above all. Numerical results show that high temperature has obvious effect on the buckling parameter changes of the corrugated web steel beam.

High performance alloy spring steel D701 for accelerated railway wagons is improved 60Si2CrVA steel. Its properties have been better than 60Si2CrVA steel.The difference between of them is using controlled rolling process for D701 steel.The affect of hot treatment process was studied by orthogonal test on D701 steel property in the article. The mechanical property σs is 1800MPa; σb is 1925MPa; δ is 9.5%, ψ is 36.5%.
