Following the trend of high-accuracy machining, thermal management of industrial control enclosures become a critical issue. Therefore, a well-designed enclosure cooling system is essential to manage the heat generation inside the enclosure. In this study, to improve the performance of cooling system and the air flow distribution inside the enclosure, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation has been used to evaluate the application of using the auxiliary circulation fan and air baffler. Furthermore, this study also investigates the layout design for both supply air vent and return air vent arrangement by two types of commercialized cooling systems through field measurements. The simulation results show the short circulation of airflow is improved when the air baffler is installed. It also shows that the auxiliary circulation fan is suggested. Besides, air baffler is used to enhance the temperature distribution. The experimental results reveal the upper supply vent arrangement will cause the short circulation of airflow slightly. And, the auxiliary circulation fans can improve the heat dissipation of cooling systems. There is no short circulation of airflow for the lower supply vent arrangement, but the supply air cannot be distributed smoothly by the auxiliary circulation fans because the shape of the air baffler is not properly designed.

We have developed and tested a technique for constructing 3D models of the chest and thoracic cavity organs. Due to the obtained results, the mathematical model  was successfully used in the development of classification of variants of placement  of implantable auxiliary circulation systems, and also for building 3D models for  other purposes. In particular, the patients were graded according to the variants of  placing the children’s axial pump DON-3 inside the patient’s chest cavity. Based on  the data, the first fitting of the DON-3 pump was performed on a patient aged 7 years.

The relevance of the use of circulatory support systems for the treatment of chronic heart failure (CHF) has increased over the recent years. Up to 20% of the patients from the waiting list for a donor heart die each year before they could get one. In our country, there is a huge need for mechanical heart support systems. However, the acquisition of foreign systems is associated with the excessive fi nancial costs. In addition, nowadays, there is no system that would meet all medical and technical requirements in full, and at the same time, would be of high safety for the patient. Therefore, research on the development of the systems of auxiliary circulation is highly relevant and is in demand in our country. One of the promising directions in this fi eld is disk pumps of viscous friction, which are based on the operation principle of Tesla disk pump. This article describes the creation and operation of the current model of the disk pump. The results of the bench tests confirmed that the expendable pressure characteristics of our disk pump are capable of providing the necessary parameters of blood circulation. The findings confi rm the perspective of the selected research area and provide the basis for further development and testing of this model of pump.
