Ckacus youcha n. gen. & n. sp. is described and illustrated based on a single male discovered in the deep area of Luoshui Dong, a vertical cave in Anlong Xian, southwestern most of Guizhou Province, Southwest China. This new genus seems related to Bathytrechus Uéno, 2005 from Leye Xian, northwestern most Guangxi by its elongate body which is wholly pubescent, the tridentate right mandible and the well-striated elytra with the 1st interval extremely narrowed at apical 1/3, but differs in several important characters. In addition, three individuals of the species Satotrechus rieae Uéno, 2006 were also collected from -340 m to -450 m in the same cave. This species was formerly only known from four caves in Anlong and Ceheng counties.

Abstract Background Venous air embolism (VAE) is a well-known entity in the field of neuroanesthesia, with established surgeries and positions where its occurrence is high. The insular cortex is a deep area within the lateral sulcus, and surgeries in this area are not reported to develop VAE. Case presentation A young male being operated on the insular cortex developed VAE, had cardiac arrest, was revived, and was extubated with no residual deficit due to the untoward event. Conclusions An anesthesiologist should always be prepared for this complication due to its rapid presentation and fatal consequences.

Geostatistics has been knowns as a reliable tool to explore variability in space of any measured parameter. This research aims to study how peat depth change and vary in space using geostatistics aproach. The research took place in a peat land inMuaro Jambi district, Jambi province of Indonesia. The three different areas of peat depth [very deep (area A), deep (area B) and shallow (area C)] were purposely selected to investigate through borehole. From the total 120 boreholes, peat depth data were analyses using ArcGIS geostatistical analyses. The result showed that peat variability in shallow area is higher than that of deep and very deep area.It is also found that the reliable sampling distance in peat exploration should not be less than 230 meter in very deep area, 275 meter in deep area and 41 meter in shallow area.
