Tourism resources are the basis of tourism activities. Affected by traditional values and the reusable characteristics of tourism resources, tourism resources have been regarded as worthless for a long time. In recent years, people have begun to establish correct values of tourism resources. However, due to the particularity of tourism resources, the issue of their value evaluation has been controversial. Value evaluation is value recognition or evaluative recognition. In order to develop a cost-effective method to obtain tourism resource evaluation and countermeasures, this paper has done a research on tourism resource evaluation and countermeasures based on network communication and the TOPSIS algorithm. For this reason, we selected a tourist attraction to conduct survey experiments. During the experiment, network communication was used to realize the exchange and sharing of their information between different people through specific media. At the same time, the TOPSIS method is used in the selection of the plan, based on the calculation results of the combined weighted TOPSIS, and the SPSS is used for the principal component factor. The suggestion and the exact conditions of the local tourism resources are combined to establish a model of the tourism resource evaluation system in this place. The experimental results show that the relative importance of viewing value is prominent in the evaluation of tourism resource value. Its weight reaches 0.509, and its popularity weight is 0.257. The evaluation and countermeasures of tourism resources based on network communication and TOPSIS algorithm are effective.

Educational data mining is concerned with developing methods to explore the data from educational environments which provides insights that help in understanding the learning process and improving the educational outcomes. The evaluation and decision-making methods of higher education resources ignore the number of specific basic systems of resource evaluation and decision-making, resulting in the low accuracy of evaluation and decision-making. Therefore, a research on higher education evaluation and decision-making based on data mining is proposed. We analyze the application of big data in the field of higher education and design its optimal curriculum design model. We calculate the phased teaching task objectives of higher education curriculum, form its curriculum teaching guidance according to the influence degree between learners’ learning progress and learners’ thinking limitations, and obtain the learning effect produced by the optimal selection of curriculum teaching content. Then the probability of learners completing the structured teaching goal is calculated, so as to establish the optimal curriculum design model of higher education. Finally, we obtain the quantitative values of different experiences, extract the main influencing factors of resource evaluation and decision-making, and carry out higher education resource evaluation and decision-making analysis on this basis. The experimental results show that the research method improves the flexibility and universal applicability of higher education evaluation and decision-making, achieving an evaluation accuracy of above 90% and with below 7% error rate.

Abstract The present study accentuates the expediency of remote sensing (RS), Geographical Information System (GIS), and Spatial Multiple Criteria Evaluation Analysis (SMCE) in appraising the geo-environmental scenario of a watershed falling under the semi-arid region of India. In this study, the Bordi river basin, which falls partly under the Amravati and the Akola districts of Maharashtra state, Central India has been investigated in detail for identifying the existing environmental status of the region. This natural resource evaluation technique incorporates a set of 10 parameters which has significance in regional geo-environment sustainability. In the process, using expert knowledge, an integrated geo-environmental potential index (GPI) has been calculated and the same is used further to derive the final geo-environmental potential map (GEPM) illustrating four classes of geo-environmental resources i.e. high, moderate, low, and poor. The geo-environmental quality map overall shows a high level of geo-environmental resources in the maximum area (48.30%). The results are significant in protection, conservation, and planning management strategies of the geo-environment of the study area. Each geo-environmental potential unit is amenable to specific conservation techniques and hence appropriate conservation techniques are recommended to each of them. The work amply proves the applicability of RS, GIS, and SMCE techniques in the natural resource evaluation procedure. This technique is found to be suitable for areas with similar geo-environmental set-up elsewhere.

Abstract. Numerous drafts of a Glacier Protection Law (GPL) have been proposed in Chile since 2006, but the law has not been approved due to a lack of consensus partially due to inadequate definitions of landform types. Neither the approved Argentinian GPL or Chilean draft explicitly identify or define different glacier types nor are their distinct hydrological roles considered. We propose three glacier categories that group landforms based on their sensitivity to environmental changes, which is strongly associated with their hydrological role, and review both national inventories to facilitate the evaluation and/or management of water resources.
