Abstract Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model was proposed to remedy the weakness of the traditional Fourier heat flux model in order to maintain the finite travel time of heat. The literature is replete with numerical studies to understand the heat transfer enhancement property. The present effort is to provide a mathematical rigor and to analytically demonstrate why the new model should act towards cooling and thus, in the way of enhancing the heat transfer rate from the surfaces. The derived and presented formulae here prove this assertion through comparison with a few selected examples from the open literature.

Background: Ionic liquids (ILs) are ionic compounds with highly tunable and remarkable properties which make them an important candidate in multiple domains such as extraction, synthesis, analytics, catalysis, biotechnology, therapeutics as well as pharmaceutical sciences. Objective: This review systematically highlights the classification, properties and toxicity of ionic liquids. It focuses on exploring the biological activity of ionic liquids, which includes antimicrobial and anticancer property along with an emphasis on the concept of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient- Ionic Liquids (API-ILs) for explaining the emulsifier and solubility enhancement property of ILs. An elaborative discussion on the application of ILs for the development of oral, transdermal and topical drug delivery systems has also been presented with suitable literature support. Conclusion: Ionic liquids possess exceptional potential in the field of medicine, biology and chemistry.

This study puts forward an efficient method for protein detection in virtue of the tremendous fluorescence enhancement property of 6-aza-2-thio-thymine protected gold nanoclusters (ATT-AuNCs). In-depth studies of the protein-induced photoluminescence enhancement mechanism illustrate the mechanism of the interaction between ATT-AuNCs and protein. This new-established probe enables feasible and sensitive quantification of the concentrations of total protein in real samples, such as human serum, human plasma, milk, and cell extracts. The results of this proposed method are in good agreement with those determined by the classical bicinchoninic acid method (BCA method).

A box-like macrocycle was constructed efficiently (60% yield). Because the intramolecular rotations are restricted by water clusters around the ionic moieties, the box shows unique aggregation-induced emission enhancement property.
