Nickel oxide nanostructures were synthesized via a sol-gel combustion method using glucose, glycine and tartaric acid fuels. The effect of the fuel type on the formed nanostructures was studied. The as-prepared products were characterized by means of FE-SEM, HR-TEM, XRD, and FT-IR analyses. The results exhibited that the used fuels gave NiO products with different morphologies, and the glucose fuel produced pure NiO nanoparticles with the smallest crystallite size (ca. 8.2 nm). The adsorption properties of the NiO products for the removal of malachite green dye (MG) was examined. Using a batch method, various parameters affecting the adsorption properties were studied. The results revealed that NiO nanostructure generated from the glucose fuel had the highest adsorption capacity

ZnO is most widely and most attractive element in today’s research. ZnO powder is not available naturally. The ZnO powder was prepared by different methods. Here in this paper the preparation of powder was discussed. The powder was prepared by high temperature sol gel combustion method. Here in this study selected temperature was 500 0C ± 10 0C. to form the pure ZnO powder the synthesized powder was sintered at 6500C ± 10 0C. After sintering the white ZnO powder was formed with amorous in nature. This method was easy and high yield. The powder was characterized by using XRD and SEM. From XRD grain size was calculated. Using SEM the particle size, specific surface area, surface roughness and the surface morphology was studied.

Carbon materials derived from biomass are drawing increasing attention due to its advantages in economical as well as ecological production. Among the biomass resources to be utilized for that purpose, lignin possesses unique characteristics: it is available in bulk quantity as a low-value by-product from the pulp and paper industries and its chemical structure based on complex aromatic networks provides excellent precursor for grahitic carbon materials such as graphene. The existing techniques to convert lignin to carbon materials require long processing time, complex steps and higher temperatures, thus increasing the production cost and hindering its commercialization. Here an alternate low-cost, one-pot synthesis method utilizing organic solvent gel combustion technique is developed to yield crystalline graphene oxide as an end product. Capacitor performance of the developed graphene oxide was investigated in terms of the parameters involved in the synthesis procedure.
