Against the background of globalization and the deepening struggle for international markets, competitiveness is among the most important indicators describing the performance of an enterprise. The purpose of this study is to create a methodology for assessing the level of competitiveness of enterprises. The proposed methodology is based on a dual model integrating the parametric and nonparametric methods for assessing the effect of using the financial mechanisms of competitiveness management. This study relies on regression and factor analysis. The focus is on the competitiveness level of 12 agricultural enterprises operating in Russia. Among the studied enterprises, the most competitive one is the enterprise that makes the best use of available resources when moving toward the desired amount of income (profit) and minimum costs. The proposed approach allows not only to assess the true level of competitiveness of an enterprise but also to identify reserves it can exploit to improve its competitiveness using financial instruments. At the same time, the stochastic dual approach proved to be a better choice in developing a competitiveness strategy.

The Sentosa  Santul Women Farmers Group (KWT) is a group of women farmers in Dusun Santul, Kampar Utara District an is engaged in the field of food crops is chili. The Sentosa Santul Women Farmers group (KWT) uses 4 types of fertilizers for chili plant fertilization, namely hydro complex fertilizer, phonska, NPK Zamrud and goat manure. The KWT wants the minimum fertilizer cost but the nutrients in the plants are met. The method used in this research is the dual simplex method and the quick simplex method. The purpose of this study is to determine the minimum costs that must be incurred by the Womens Farmer Group (KWT) for fertilization using the dual simplex method and the quick simplex method to obtain an optimum and feasible solution. For the dual simplex method, the optimum and feasible solution were obtained using the Gauss Jordanelimination. While the quick simplex method, the solution is illustrated using a matrix to reduce the number of iterations needed to achieve the optimal solution. Based on the research result, it is found that the quick simplex method is more efficient than the dual simplex method. This can be seen from the number of iterations carried out. Dual simplex method iteration there are two iterations and quick simplex one iteration. The dual simplex method and the quick simplex method produce the same value.

The article considers the issue of choosing the optimal operating schedule for the technological section of the main oil pipeline at various pumping capacities. The optimality criterion is the minimum of total monetary expenses for payment of electric energy consumed for the oil pumping process. It is necessary to decide whether the new regime being introduced is optimal, what amount of additional or unspent electricity will be required, and how much it is needful to adjust the electricity demand when changing oil-pumping plans. In this regard, determining how to correctly calculate and compare energy consumption when planning the operation modes of the main oil pipeline for different, changing pumping plans is an urgent and important task. A two-stage algorithm for determining the optimal operating schedule of the oil pipeline technological section is proposed. The proposed method consists in solving a linear programming problem formulated in a way that takes into account all features of calculating the cost of consumed electrical energy. An illustrative example of calculation using the proposed algorithm is given.

AbstractThis article offers a comparative study of maximizing and modelling production costs by means of composite triangular fuzzy and trapezoidal FLPP. It also outlines five different scenarios of instability and has developed realistic models to minimize production costs. Herein, the first attempt is made to examine the credibility of optimized cost via two different composite FLP models, and the results were compared with its extension, i.e., the trapezoidal FLP model. To validate the models with real-time phenomena, the Production cost data of Rail Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala has been taken. The lower, static, and upper bounds have been computed for each situation, and then systems of optimized FLP are constructed. The credibility of each model of composite-triangular and trapezoidal FLP concerning all situations has been obtained, and using this membership grade, the minimum and the greatest minimum costs have been illustrated. The performance of each composite-triangular FLP model was compared to trapezoidal FLP models, and the intense effects of trapezoidal on composite fuzzy LPP models are investigated.

The emerging trend of internet of things in recent times is a blessing for various industries in the world. With the increasing amount of data generated by these devices, it makes it difficult for proper data flow and computation over the regular cloud architecture. Fog computing is a great alternative for cloud computing as it supports computation in devices over a large distributed geographical area, which is a plus for fog computing. Having applications in various domains including healthcare, logistics, design, marketing, manufacturing, and many more, fog computing is a great boon for the future. Evolving fog computing in various domains with different methods and techniques has shaped a clear future for it. Applicability of fog computing in vehicular communications and storage-as-a-service has made the term more popular these days. It is a review of all the possible fog computing-enabled applications and their future scope. It also prepares a basis for further research into fog computing domain-enabled services with low latency and minimum costs.

In the article presented to your attention, in order to reveal the effectiveness of technical service of equipment for processing oilseeds, the modes of its functioning have been investigated. A multifactor experiment was carried out to determine the minimum costs for organizing the technical service of oil-extracting equipment. The optimal values of the response function Wopt are found, that is, the minimum costs for organizing the technical service of oil-extracting equipment. The response surface has a clear optimum for the following values of the factors: {1.32; 3; 1,022}, the regression equation is obtained. Optimization of the technical service of equipment for processing oilseeds according to this equation makes it possible to increase the coefficient of technical utilization from the existing 0.86 to 0.93, which increases shift productivity and annual production of vegetable oil by 7.0% with a slight increase in total labor costs by 6.69 % due to the increase in the number of repair and technical workers and the strengthening of the service of the chief engineer of the enterprise.
