College English tutoring is an important content of current research, and how to provide more effective methods for teaching tutoring is currently a hot research topic. Therefore, this paper designs an Internet-based online tutoring platform for college English teaching, which is accelerated by using the K-means clustering algorithm. The data processing efficiency and processing methods to improve user satisfaction require more practical experience to summarize. In the business logic layer, the uploaded information is mined through the K-means clustering algorithm to form an online tutoring university English database to provide platform data support, realize the business logic judgment of the data, convert the data in the database, and return to the user interface of other formats, to provide users with browsing and consulting. In the data access layer, the data from the business logic layer is processed. After the processing is completed, data can be added, deleted, modified, and checked in the database. Finally, the operation result of the database is fed back to the business logic layer for processing. Experimental results show that the designed platform has good data mining performance, low connection speed and low response delay, good compatibility, low CPU usage, fast resource sharing speed, and high user satisfaction. It can be connected to different operating systems.

One-to-one online tutoring provided by human tutors can improve students’ learning outcomes. However, monitoring the quality of such tutoring is a significant challenge. In this paper, we propose a learning analytics approach for monitoring online one-to-one tutoring quality. The approach analyses teacher behaviours and classifies tutoring sessions into those that are effective and those that are not effective. More specifically, we use sequential behaviour pattern mining to analyse tutoring sessions using the CM-SPAM algorithm and classify tutoring sessions into effective and less effective using the J-48 and JRIP decision tree classifiers. To show the feasibility of the approach, we analysed data from 2250 minutes of online one-to-one primary Maths tutoring sessions with 44 tutors from 8 schools. The results showed that the approach can classify tutors’ effectiveness with high accuracy (F measures of 0.89 and 0.98 were achieved). The results also showed that effective tutors present significantly more frequent hint provision and proactive planning behaviours than their less effective colleagues in these online one-to-one sessions. Furthermore, effective tutors sequence their monitoring actions with appropriate pauses and initiations of students’ self-correction behaviours. We conclude that the proposed approach is feasible to monitor the quality of online one-to-one primary Maths tutoring sessions.

The closure of educational institutions across Thailand, as well as the maintenance of social distancing as a preventive and precautionary step against COVID-19, has thrown a wrench in the traditional method of teaching, which has given way to online learning. As a result, most online learning is managed through a learning management system, the most popular of which is Google Classroom. The purpose of this study was to find out how students felt about using levels as a virtual learning tool. One hundred and eleven second-year Thai EFL students from 7 majors who are taking English for Work participated in this study. They were mostly female (79.28%) and between 19 and 23 years old. They had attended online learning on Google Classroom. To obtain participants’ feedback, a Google Form questionnaire and a semi-structured interview were used. Means and Standard deviation were used as descriptive statistics. According to the results of the study, students indicated positive attitudes towards using Google Classroom in the aspect of ease of use (Mean = 4.41), usefulness (Mean = 4.12), and intention to use (Mean = 4.02). The results showed Google Classroom was well perceived by students. They perceived Google Classroom to be useful in submitting assignments and reminding class announcements. The results help teachers to consider arranging activities such as live online tutoring and discussion using Google Classroom to enhance students’ learning engagement or using blended learning (integrating online learning mode with face-to-face classroom).

Today, in connection with the informatization of society, all spheres of life are adapting to distance working conditions. Tutors, like many other teachers, need to adapt to the new lesson format. The article examines how the services of tutors in various subjects via the Internet are provided, what software and educational resources are used to prepare and conduct distance learning, are there any significant differences from the point of view of the tutor in the distance and face-to-face training format. The preferences of tutors regarding the functionality of the system are given, which will be a tool for conducting individual lessons on the Internet. The research was carried out using an empirical method — through a survey. To participate in it were invited tutors who are already teaching online or have taught before, as well as those who are just starting to engage in online tutoring. The results of this research are presented in an article with analytical comments. A detailed description of the tutor’s activities in the process of conducting distance learning is given. As a result, it was concluded that a system for conducting distance lessons is a necessity for a modern teacher engaged in tutoring. The article presents the necessary functional minimum of such a system.

Tutoring is a guidance activity in terms of finding appropriate learning methods and overcoming learning difficulties. Generally, every tutoring process is carried out at the tutoring place. The general tutoring process can have a less effective and efficient impact during extreme weather and pandemics. Extreme weather and pandemic have resulted in delays to the end of the tutoring process. Problems that arise can be overcome by designing a system that can make the tutoring process more efficient and effective during extreme weather and pandemics. A cloud-based online tutoring information system (BIMBELOL) is a system that can help any tutoring process to be more efficient and effective. The use of cloud technology in making the system can help every tutoring process be carried out online. Testing of 40 respondents and black-box testing carried out on the system shows that each tutoring process has been successfully implemented.

This study aims to determine tutoring services to identify the implementation of information services for students of SMP PGRI 1 Buduran during the pandemic. The method applied was descriptive qualitative, in the form of a survey research involving BK SMP PGRI 1 Buduran Sidoarjo teachers as informants. The data collection technique used in this study used data triangulation carried out by interview and observation methods, as well as document data collection. The conclusion from the results shows that the tutoring information service shows that the implementation of tutoring services during this pandemic is not effective enough due to limited time, place, and the situation is quite difficult to meet face to face with students directly, but counselors always try to provide good services. and continuously according to student needs so that students even during the pandemic can still get proper and good learning.
