The results of improving the design of autonomous LED insect trap lights developed by the Federal Research Center for Plant Biological Protection are provided. The flying dynamics of the summer Helicoverpa armigera is shown. It was found that the insect trap light attracted 2.6 times more phytophagous specimens than pheromon traps. A separating element of a insect trap light been developed, which makes it possible to reduce 50 times the number of captured representatives of useful and indifferent entomofauna. The efficiency of battery charging has been increased by 43%.

Newly developed equipment for damping hydraulic shocks in pressure hydrotransport facilities is reviewed in this article. This equipment includes a discharge, safety diaphragm, as well as a flexible diaphragm, which is connected to the main pipeline at both different ends of the backpressure valve. A rupture disc is attached to it from below and load is attached from above by means of a rod, so that it can efficiently act during movement of hydraulic fluid in the central main pipeline, i.e. when the flow to be transported contains abrasive contaminant of solid material. The load represents a piston, which is rigidly connected to the flexible diaphragm and the rupture disc and creates an airproof space filled with viscous fluid. At the same time, the lower space is isolated from the main pipeline by a flexible separating element before the backpressure valve and the upper space is also isolated by a flexible separating element located after the back pressure valve.

Composite panel walls with both combustible and non-combustible cores were subjected to fire resistance test to EN 1364-1. The results revealed that the combustible-core panels started emitting smoke on the unexposed side due to the presence of joints between panels. In some cases the smoke emission started early after the start for the fire exposure. The start of the smoke production period appeared to depend on the fixation of the panels to the furnace frame; three or four sides fixed as per EN 1364-1. The amounts of smoke released indicate that although smoke leakage/production criterion is not currently part of the standard fire-resistance testing protocol it should be assessed when construction elements with combustible components are tested. Otherwise such a barrier may not be considered as a smoke-safe separating element, because model FED calculations indicate a potential threat to the occupants on the unexposed side at a certain set of conditions.

This paper simulates the fire prevention performance of external insulation system with curtain wall based on FDS method. The effect to control flame spread of fire-barrier belt and fire separating element with different width is discussed. The characteristics of temperature distribution on the interior, exterior and intermediate cavity of external insulation system are analyzed and the variability of heat release rate is found. The results prove that fire-barrier belt and fire separating element could effectively inhibit flame spread and growth. The fire prevention performance of external insulation system is strengthened with increasing of setting the width. When the width of fire separating element is 100 mm and fire-barrier belt width is 300 mm, the whole external insulation system has good fire prevention performance, which can be set as basic parameters for the design of fire protection construction with consider the applicability and economical efficiency of actual engineering.

Abstract This article describes the acoustic qualities (sound insulation and a level of acoustic pressure of impact sound) composite construction, composite timber - concrete ceiling. The qualities of the ceiling construction were discovered in the experimental measurements in the acoustic testing laboratory certified by CSI Zlin on a sample of a 3 x 3,6 m size. One type of a floor composition was created. Three phases of measurement have been performed on the tested floor. The aim of the experiment was to determine whether the devised ceiling can be used as a separating element between apartments.
