This paper discusses the development and implementation of the web-based geo-spatial information sharing and integration system that advances the multidisciplinary researches on the processes and impacts of mega-disaster. The mega-disasters predicted in Japan, such as Tokyo Metropolitan Earthquake or Nankai Trough Earthquake Tsunami, bring huge amount of damage and loss in various sectors and various regions, and the scenarios of damage occurrence and loss propagation are very complex. Hence, in order to quantify each problem to create disaster reduction strategies, it is very important to share and integrate data and findings across many disciplines and regions. In this point of view, we are developing the Urban Resilience Geoportal as the sharing site of research findings. In this paper, we discuss the concept of such system focusing on the accumulation and sharing of multidisciplinary data, the integration of damage and loss quantification methods, the collaboration with other disaster information systems, and the utilization of data to create new findings.

Considering the frequent geological disaster in our country, it is imperative to construct the public service platform for geological disaster spatial information. Based on the growing demand for spatial information sharing by all sectors of society, government, the public, the paper summarizes and analyzes the background and existing issues of spatial information sharing. In line with the idea on spatial information resources put forward by the state, the paper discusses the target, construction ideas, design architecture of the platform and content on Geo-hazard spatial information sharing services platform, WMI as well as business process at the background of comprehensive and normative internet environment.

Mining spatial information sharing platform, as a new type of mining information management systems, will greatly enhance the level of the existing mine information management and their ability to support production operations. Based on the analysis of the current information sharing framework, a new mining information sharing platform which is service-oriented GIS is introduced. Then, this article describes three key techniques to achieve: the SOA-based GIS technology, metadata technology and spatial database technology. Finally, the paper talks about the research way for the development of mining area spatial information sharing architecture in the future.

In order to explore the method to realize spatial information sharing and integration, in this article we choose REST as spatial information share framework and foundations of software architecture, focus on spatial information service characteristic, construct a REST style framework spatial information sharing model, and evaluate it. And then base on open source software, build up demo system, test the framework’s feasibility. Result turn out to be effective-spatial information sharing base on the REST style can realize spatial information sharing to a certain extent.
