High voltage condenser bushing is one of the important component that is widely used in the high voltage system. At high voltage levels more than 52kV the distribution of electric field in condenser bushing is irregular between the lead conductor and the grounded metallic flange. This paper studied the effects of changing in both: the number layers of aluminum foils and Oil impregnated Paper (OIP), increasing the length of aluminum foils layers, and also increasing the thickness of OIP layer on the distribution of electric potential and electric field in condenser bushing by using Finite Element Method (FEM) and built the bushing model in ANSYS software. The harmonic analysis was performed of the bushing model at maximum value of withstand voltage test at 50Hz, from the analysis results are obtained the maximum value of electric field on the inner and outer surface of the bushing, the obtained electric field values were good and acceptable compared to the permissible electrical stress values of the dielectric insulators. This work can also aid in the design of high voltage bushing stress control, a knowledge of the electrical field distribution in bushing geometry. Moreover the results of analysis are shown as contour plots, graphs plotted, and tables.

In the near future, electric powered vehicles will represent a major part of the road traffic. Accordingly, there will be a natural increase of accidents involving electric vehicles. There are not many cases of such accidents yet and therefore the experience and correct handling are still partially open points for the involved parties, such as the rescue services for example. The aim of this work is to provide a complete overview of the accident handling sequence in Germany, starting with the damaged vehicle on site and moving on to the risks and challenges for the stakeholders, such as transport and recycling companies. Arising from the developed overview, a handling recommendation for yet undiscussed points is given. Especially, different extinguishing and deactivation methods are compared and discussed. Due to a lack of a common live-feed from battery data on site, other criteria have to be taken into account to assess the state of the battery. The wrecked vehicle—including the high voltage system—needs to be in a definite safe state at the handover to a towing service. Depending on the case, different options for securing the vehicle will be considered in this work.

This paper describes the design of a Series-Connected Device based on a fixed–frequency LLC resonant converter (SCDLLC). Isolation of the dc-dc converter like the LLC resonant converter is used for the stability of the high voltage system such as a solid-state-transformer (SST). The series-connected devices driving method is one of the methods applicable to a high voltage system. When driving series-connected devices, an auxiliary circuit for voltage balancing between series-connected devices is required, which can be simply implemented using a passive element. In this paper, LLC converter design with balancing circuits configured in parallel with a device is provided, and both the simulations and experiments were performed.
