AbstractDecentralized, open-access blockchain systems opened up new, exciting possibilities—all without reliance on trusted third parties. Regardless of the employed consensus protocol, the overall security, decentralization and effectiveness of such systems, largely depend upon properly structured incentives. Indeed, as has been previously spotted by Babaiaff et al. Bitcoin-like systems, oftentimes lack some of these. Specifically, current blockchain-systems fail to incentivize one of their crucial aspects–the underlying data exchange. As we rationalize, proper incentivization of that layer could lead to lower transactions’ confirmation-times, improved finalization guarantees and at the same time to discouragement of malicious behaviours such as block-withholding attacks. Indeed, incentivization of the data-exchange layer allows the system to remain operational when all agents, including routing nodes, are assumed to be rational. In this work, while focusing on the problem of sybil-proof data exchange, we revisit previous approaches, showcasing their shortcomings and lay forward the first information exchange framework; with integrated routing and reward-function mechanics, provably secure in thwarting Sybil-nodes in 1-connected or eclipsed networks. The framework neither requires nor assumes any kind of constraints in regard to the network’s topology (i.e. the network is modelled as a random-connected graph) and rewards information propagators through a system-intrinsic virtual asset maintained by the decentralized state-machine. The proposal, while being storage and transmission efficient is suitable for rewarding not only consensus-related datagrams (both data-blocks and transactions) but consensus-extrinsic information as well, thus facilitating an universal sybil-proof data-exchange apparatus, provably valid under the assumption of existence of a data store whose property of non-malleability emerges as time approaches infinity. Our research was conducted under two scenarios—with round leader known and unknown in advance of each transactional round.

Abstract The goal of this article is to investigate the effect of ultrasonic vibrations on the process of milk pasteurization. Ultrasound can potentially intensify heat transfer and reduce the formation of thermal sediment (soot deposit) on the walls of heat-exchange devices. The paper presents the results of experimental studies demonstrating the growth rate of thermal sediment on the wall of the heat-exchange apparatus and its amount in the volume of milk under the influence of ultrasonic vibrations and without it.

A three-channel concentric pipes heat exchanger is a development or improvement of a two-channel concentric heat exchange apparatus. This study was conducted to determine the output temperature of each channel, and compare the results of theoretical calculations using mathematical modeling of experimental results conducted in the field. So that obtained difference of value between result of experiment to result of theory calculation. In this study have 3 variations of temperature data that is 50 °C, 55°C, and 60 °C with two streams namely CounterFlow and PararellFLow and discharge 2.5 l/minute, while cold fluid with 25 °C discharge 1.5 l/minute. From the above analysis it can be concluded that the temperature of the hot fluid coming out of the APK in the experiment tends to be higher than the temperature of the hot fluid coming out of the APK on theoretical calculations of mathematical modeling methods. Meanwhile, the cold cold fluid temperature coming out of the APK in experimental tends to be lower than the temperature of the cold fluid coming out of the APK on theoretical calculations of mathematical modeling methods.

The main volume of gas produced in the Republic of Azerbaijan is formed in offshore fields. Some of this gas is transported to the shore, and the other part is used in gas-operated wells. In both cases, multi-stage compressors on SOCAR's balance sheet are used. In the process of compressing gas in compressor stations, its temperature rises (T = 115 ÷ 118 ℃) and it is important to cool it to T = 35 ÷ 38 ℃ before sending it to the outlet. The heat exchanger proposed by the authors differs in this respect by its simplicity and functional advantages. The article provides a comparative analysis of the durability of existing and newly constructed heat exchangers used in compressor stations. Keywords: heat exchanger, selection, flicker noise spectroscopy, multitaper spectral evaluation.

The possibility of use of the heat-exchangers in whole or in part manufactured with use of polymers and plastics is considered. Despite obvious, at first sight, inexpediency of use of polymeric materials in the heat-exchange equipment (low coefficient of heat conductivity, and also low, in comparison with metals, the strength properties of the majority of the most widespread polymers), «polymeric» heat-exchangers find application in various areas of the industry more and more surely. Classification of heat-exchange apparatuses which constructive elements are executed with use of polymeric materials is proposed. The following signs are the basis for classification: polymer type, a type of polymer meric material, type of the heat-exchange apparatus (a form of heat-exchange elements), reliance on polymeric materials in apparatuses, motion freedom of polymeric heat-exchange elements, level of assembly of a design, and also diameter of tubular elements. Critical analysis the most characteristic designs developed by domestic and foreign designers and inventors is carried out. Ref. 21, Fig. 13.
